This is why we need to properly educate people.
You better be the first in line to sign up for that education because you were nowhere to be found when they were passing out brains!
[/QUOTE]
That’s the best you could do?
I’d expect something far more eloquent from someone as educated as yourself.

But who cares about all the Eagles ect being killed by "green" energy.

Oh the hypocrisy.
Hello; I did not comment on the link, but see you have a grasp of the situation. Using an endangered species in one case to try to shut down an oil field. Ignoring any such damage to animals if "green" energy is involved.

Hello; Here we go. Have to say this nails much of the situation.

The electric car ‘revolution’ is a disaster before it’s begun (msn.com)

Electrification was initially met with fierce resistance. But once politicians held a gun to the heads of company bosses with a series of cliff-edge deadlines for phasing out the combustion engine, carmakers had little choice but to go all-in”

Hello; I get that the champions wish to believe a recent uptick in EV sales is a positive for the movement. I have countered often not all of the sales are due to positive feelings about BEV’s.

“But with electrification barely off the starting grid, one by one the big carmakers are already pulling back as demand badly falters.

“Volkswagen is so concerned about flagging sales that it has taken the extraordinary decision of halting electric vehicle production at one of its biggest plants. Assembly lines for electric models will be paused for six weeks at the Emden factory in northwest Germany and 300 of its 1,500 staff laid off after sales fell 30pc short of forecasts.”

“But it’s the setback at VW that stands out, raising serious questions about whether politicians are making the catastrophic mistake of forcing electric cars on a public that doesn’t want them. Indeed, the decision to impose strict deadlines for the phase out of petrol cars could turn out to be one of the most ruinous policy decisions of our lifetimes.”

Hello; This remains to be seen. By that I wonder if this anti fossil fuel agenda disaster will out do the Covid policies disasters???

“Think about it for a second: an entire industry not only forced to abandon a product that the vast majority of people still want and use, but also bullied into channelling all its resources into making something on a colossal level that there simply isn’t the market for – at least not within the horrendously short timeframe that is being imposed on car manufacturers.”

“The UK risks becoming the unfortunate guinea pig in a costly and dangerous experiment that persuades the rest of the world to push their own deadlines out even further, turning this country into an example of how not to become a nation of electric car owners.”

I inquired about a VW Arteon R before I ordered my Mustang and was quoted ‘at least 12 months as VW are concentrating on EV production’. That was approx a year ago so the situation may well have changed since then.

🙄The term is “yank your chain”; “pull your string“ means something completely different.
No, my little puppet, I have it right. I I even meant singular (because some puppets are so simple). Let me see your simple sentences and meme now. :cwl:

Must be hard going through life thinking you are smarter than everyone else.

This was the totality of my post with the link to the article:

”’Muh gubment‘ at work. 🤡 What a waste.”

My post title was a simple satirical title of what the article stated.
Trying to clean it up?

Maybe you should be more clear on your intentions. Given your prior post history it is not a far reach to assume you were injecting politics into the discussion again.

Not sure what is so hard to understand. Stop doing that and everyone is cool.

Many companies are making the switch. They have worked on this for decades.

People act like the companies woke up one day and said "let's build EVs because of the subsidies."

I've seen how humans fill in the gaps when they don't know something. I was on a project and we made some decisions five years prior and started working on them. We announced what we were doing when about a year out to the wider organization. There were all types of rumors floating around.

Sure no one surprised by this (many might be surprised they still make a car that is not a Mustang):

Ford sunsets its last remaining true compact car in favour of electric SUV production

This leaves Ford with a vehicle line-up basically devoid of anything that isn't an SUV, pickup truck, van, or Mustang.

The article insinuates they will prevent drilling on the largest deposit of oil and gas because of some lizard, yet the windmills and solar panels are killing all kinds of endangered species. I don't see any clamoring for their removal or the prevention of adding new. If some company wanted to install 10 square miles of solar panels on that same land I can almost guarantee there would be no mention of the death of the lizards.

The irony is the solar panels would most likely kill more lizards than the oil wells.
