It happens that I already have the frame I will use. I got it as a Father's Day gift from my sons about three Mustangs ago and it's still in good shape. Chrome and red, which will be fine on my Oxford White/Redline car.

Bought black powder coated frames from the Ford accessories web site. Go to the 50th anniversary tab and they have licensed frames for $18.99. Great price. Very sturdy.

Simple black frame from weathertech. Has a nice rubberized seal so it will not scratch the paint. I will put it once my plates get here.

On the rear:

And on the front:

(The BumpShox up front are a necessity since the front bumper doesn't stick out on the S550's... on the S197, the first thing to make contact was the bumper, which had a bit of an underbite.)

Salvos auto parts. Not sure if they are in your area. Maybe you can find it online searching the name brand.

I have decided to get this one. It is a thinner chrome, and will match the chrome around the tail lights much better, I think. Plus, it will not draw your eye toward the plate like the black frame did against the silver:

So I got my rear bracket/frame today (forgot to check my mail yesterday) and to my surprise, it comes with chrome cover caps for the screws/bolts, pretty cool!

I got the same one but the powder coated black version. I was shocked at how solid it is. Most of the plate holders I have ever purchased are easily bent and kind of flimsy.
