So far I only have this smoky cover. Was thinking of adding a chrome frame but the cover seems to blend quite well.

Lol... I think both look good, but I think the black just draws your attention to the plate. Probably would look better on Magnetic, or on Black... but on a lighter color car it stands out too much.

I showed the picture to a friend and told them to tell me the first thing their eye was drawn to... they said the license plate. So I think I'll be switching to chrome!

I'll post a picture of that one, too... so everybody can see the difference.

I actually paid around $8 while on sale...My car is Guard. Looks decent but i dont care much...

I agree with your color and chrome bezel tails I would probably do chrome. I found a nice slim line plate frame so it wouldn't be bulky maybe the same one in chrome? View attachment 16929

I have a clear cover over the plate, which is illegal, even though I don't know why. I can see the smoked covers being illegal, but the clear ones?

Anyway... I think it looks good, but it really stands out!

Think chrome would be better? Or keep the black?

I'm leaning toward changing it to chrome... but I like to hear all opinions.

Clear is still illegal because at night, it turns into a mirror when the deputy is behind you and his headlights reflect off it and in car video can't read your plate when you RUN. It's an absolute ticket on the spot, at least in Collier County for sure! Why would you put an ugly clear cover on it anyway? To protect it? It's made from aluminum already. Please don't put anything over your plates. It irritates traffic cops.

GT Premium CO which I have not rcvd. Been stuck INTRANSIT since 10/31 at
