That’s the thing about hobbies. It gets you hooked and then you always look to “improve” something, ultimately resulting in selling what you had before. wash, rinse, repeat.

Guess it depends on your point of view. If you look at it as yours and mine rather than ours then yes, its a good thing you never married. Likely the reason for so many failed or miserable marriages. At least from what i have seen in my lifetime.

She works hard as well with a good career. clearly im not the sole income of the household, nor is she just a leeching housewife. We work towards a common goal however she does not complain that i spend a fairly decent amount of the household income on stuff that only i enjoy and she finds a waste of money other than it makes me happy.

That was my initial reaction until I saw all the little bits it adds and when I want to lower it later all i gotta do is drop 300 on some springs and i'm done. plus you can't get the forged wheels without it.

Im with you. I no longer have a penny to my name since losing my last job & seeing others upgrade left & right like they have $ to wipe their rear end with gets to me sometimes. Especially knowing I wont be able to mod any time soon. But then I log off for a few weeks, stay off the market & remind myself that Im happy to at least still have my car.

I appreciate that. But Im all good. Went from working for Tyson foods to working at an Ethanol plant. Its all my fault. It was my call. Im one of the many that lost their job for not going along with the vax mandates being forced. Im an industrial mechanic or maintenance more like it. Ill bounce back on my feet, I always do. I truly appreciate & thank you for the sentiment. Most see me as the enemy for sticking to my beliefs. Like I mentioned, Im just happy I still have my car. Something will come up later & Ill be back to modding in no time.

Those are great skills. Good for you for sticking to your beliefs. I hate when life throws you one of those crappy vs. crappier choice traps we all have to make at times. Some are actually lucky enough to never have to.
