Sales guy says six weeks to build... #Doubt

I'm in the process of selling my Cobra for something a little more family friendly and that looks like a new GT. I don't mind waiting, even like several months, but the sales guy said once my order is placed they can have it built in 6 weeks. That sounds like bullshit to me... so... what do you guys think?

FYI, when I ordered my '15 it took three full months....

I'd be astounded if you saw an order these days in less time than that.

This sounds more real than having it built for you in 6-8 weeks.

On Week #8 they will tell you "Yeah we should have this order turned around for you in like 12 weeks bud. That's almost definitely confirmed as possibly possible".

Maybe if they cancel their 2 week early July break, the train schedule goes back to normal, and they don't run out of chips and parts. Otherwise, I'd say 12 weeks minimum.

I'm totally cool with 3-6 months. that might actually help get the wifey completely on board. I am a patient man and i've never just ordered what I wanted before. i need to find one in houston to test drive.

Last year I was going to order mine but saw the waiting pain on here. Setup searches online for just want I wanted and got a 2020 with 4k miles and everything I wanted. fwiw.

Yeah I mean 6-8 weeks is the canned ETA response for literally everything everywhere so I figured it would be longer than he was letting on. I didn’t know it would be this long though.

My personal timeline has been relatively short so I try not to complain too much. I feel for the guys who have been waiting longer and still not scheduled.

hey man the longer i gotta wait the more cash i can throw down on it in the beginning so that's fine by me My biggest problem is finding a new home for the current car so i'll stop perfecting it... because i'm an addict.
