Your not wrong. Some just aren’t good at selling things. There’s just better ways to go about it In my opinion. I get it if your an actual interested party, I’ve just never been real patient with sw…ing …ks. :computerrage:
That's really on BaT - they might be getting too big for their britches. In the past they would have done some hand-holding with the seller to make sure the listing was accurate.

But then my cynical side says there's a good chance if the auction ended with a sale and the wheels had not been mentioned, they would stay in his storage unit.

If he’s smart, there‘s a reserve. I haven‘t paid attention to many auctions but if they are(BAT) going that direction, it’ll go downhill quick and will not recover.

it might’ve been driven in the MA snow and that probably was a very scary experience with the OEM tires .

I’d say more then once. Not sure they learned there lesson the first time. Lol. Can’t imagine one of these in the snow with sc2’s.

I don’t think it was driven in the snow. You would see more oxidation and grime what wouldn’t clean up. The car is from the northeast, salt is in the air and if it wasn’t stored properly, I could totally see the oxidation develop.

These heritage models were the last to be built and some did not hit the dealers until fall of 2020. If this car was not sold until winter, it’s possible that it was driven on a road with salt by the porter or salesman filling up the tank for the new owner.

We bought a gt500 in Dec 21 and it had the same oxidation on it from the factory. I noticed it as they took it off the truck at the dealership. I assumed the vehicle was setting on a lot in Detroit for a month or at rail yard.

Or it got exposure to salt/rain/sleet/snow during transport on the back of a rig which would throughly saturate the car with salt-water mix.

Yeah that rust is largely unavoidable anyway and those suspension components will rust eventually. On this car it was perhaps accelerated slightly.

It’s got to be difficult for you guys in area’s that have to deal with the winter snow constantly. You can leave a vehicle out uncovered here for virtually ever and not see that type of rust. Now damage from uv is a different story.
