The black makes the caliper color look so much better. My stock oem black wheels makes the VB caliper look good, but with my bronze 350 wheels, not so much.

I’m thinking of doing bronze wheels on my Ruby red and just doing black or grey calipers. Anything else would look weird I think.

seen lots of color...really depends on car color. still like Brembo PP calipers. charcoal grey, red letters, silver hardware accents

I agree with you. Have been debating to paint mine but i think original looks discrete with the combination of wheels i have at the moment.

What i see weird is that the rear doesn't come with the same color. For sure will paint them to match the OEM Charcoal color.

I'm really interested in this as well. I have a black PP1 with bronze wheels and I would like to add stripes and then possibly match calipers to the stripes. Here are a couple options I like(not my pics, just found on interweb).... just not sure how it will look with my wheels.

G2's website says that oversized calipers require 2 paint kits. While the ~2016 GT Premium doesn't have the oversized brakes that the performance package has, it does have calipers that are larger than many other vehicles. So my question for those that have used the G2 caliper paint kit on their GT Premium: Is one kit enough to paint all 4 calipers?

I had some leftover with a single kit after painting my front Brembos and rear single pistons/brackets. At least 2 or 3 coats. But I did NOT paint the backs of the Brembos. Removed the front rotors then reinstalled the calipers and painted whatever I could see without climbing under the car.

Was it pretty easy to get a smooth shiny finish by brushing it on? I notice that they offer a disposable sprayer on their website, is it worth it?

Shiney, yes. Smooth... spray would probably be significantly smoother. But at near ground level and behind spokes (lots for my nickel PP1s), not noticeable. I suspect spraying would take more paint since some will be wasted on overspray. Have no idea if their disposable sprayer does a good job or can use all the paint.

My PP1 GT came with the 6 piston, dark grey Brembo’s, which you could barely see behind the black PP1 wheels. I liked the red Brembo’s as they would look good with my color combo. Did not really want the hassle of trying to paint the calipers as to do it correctly, you have to remove, prep, mask etc., car will be down for a while also. Price of Red bullet Brembo’s and were very reasonable, $550? for the pair. Sold my stock Grey ones for $400 so for $150 I had new red Brembo’s without any painting hassle. Bought a spare set of rear GT calipers for $100, prepped and painted at my leisure, rust-oleum cherry red btw. Swapped out and here is final result.

Calipers painted in Raspberry blue with some metal flake. Painted to match stripes on my Oxford white GT. Depending on lighting conditions they have a tinge of purple.

Just spray the calipers then use a high temp clear over them and you’ll be good.
