What is the easiest way to take out the diffuser for a 2018 and up. I have seen on youtube where they have taken the bumper off and another vid where they left the bumper one.

Anybody got any experience

I replaced my GT diffuser with a GT500/Mach 1 unit while the rear bumper was still attached to the car. It was very easy.

I swaped my 18 OEM for a Trufiber diffuser without taking the bumper cover off. I am old and riddled with arthritis but it wasn't to bad to do.

Yes, it’s an OEM kit from Levittown. I can take some. Anything specific that you’re looking for?

I like that look a lot. I wish it was available for a 2017 GT but I get the strong impression something about the rear bumper/diffuser changed from 2017 to 2018.

I replaced my 2020 GT diffuser with an OEM GT500 diffuser and despite initially wondering why the hell I was taking off the rear bumper, I did. I chose not to use the underbody pan, but mounted the support arms just like Kermitz did above.

I was thinking about buying the MP Concepts GT500 diffuser with the included exhaust tips. The supplier said that I would have to cut a certain length off my 2018 quad tips to make it fit the new ones. Was that your experience?

I’m using the OEM Diffuser and an Aftermarket Cat Back, so I don’t think I have any useful answer for you on this.

Thanks anyhow. I might forget about getting the diffuser. Cutting a good bit off the OEM tips seems sacrilegious. I did like the look of the tips that come with the diffuser but no.
