Added the FP hood struts. No more 80’s rod-prop

Same here. Bought my floor from a buddy that wanted to change up his garage. Per his recommendation, I make sure to put a piece of 1/2" plywood under the floor jack and each jack stand to prevent them from dimpling the floor.Thanks. They are the Race Deck I think the material is called copolymers. I think you would be good installing them on a floor that isn't perfect. My garage floor in Colorado has a very slight tilt that aids in water draining. I actually wash my cars inside that garage. After 10 years, I haven't had any problems with them.
Nonstop rain here since early morning. No mustang action today.![]()
I am getting rained on at work for the first time in months.
Poured like a bastard in OH basically 2 days straight. First time in a long time I had to use this mode on my Bullitt:I feel ya! In Ga also been going here since last night.
Good man. I did that within like a month of owning the car. I don't get why these still got a prop rod...Added the FP hood struts. No more 80’s rod-prop![]()

Mine did too but I probably did 200 miles over last 2 months so that may have had an impact on it. I was baffled but will try to start it up tomorrow via jumpMine regularly sat for 2-4wks even in winter and still started up fine.
I know! Hood struts aren’t expensive, wouldn’t cost Ford much of anything ($20?). Our oldest car is a 2014 and it even has gas hood struts lol. Was pretty surprised the Mustang had a prop rod.Good man. I did that within like a month of owning the car. I don't get why these still got a prop rod...
Next thing I'm really considering is the trunk popper struts...I know! Hood struts aren’t expensive, wouldn’t cost Ford much of anything ($20?). Our oldest car is a 2014 and it even has gas hood struts lol. Was pretty surprised the Mustang had a prop rod.
Ha! Me too! Looks neat!Next thing I'm really considering is the trunk popper struts...
That was the thing just about everyone had said. But it pops open on all three opening types, right? Meaning fob, inside the car release and under-bumper-release?JLT Oil catch can installed, along with a Steeda boot struts. Honestly, if you now stand 'over' the boot, it might just knock you out - LOL

And still fairly easy to close?
Still prefer stock with no-touch (of anything shiny or visible) one finger open or close.Yes, rather firm to close it.
Actually, I have not tried it with the fob. I guess I should. I actually avoid using the fob at all cost (cannot stand even having it on me). The inside button opens the boot just fine.
EDIT:
Fob opens the boot, no problem...
I remember you (or someone) actually mentioning that you close the trunk by touching on the unexposed part and always wondered how that was done...Still prefer stock with no-touch (of anything shiny or visible) open or close.

Touche'. However, like today, walking up to the car with loads of bags, it was nice that the boot was fully opened for me to merely place the items in.Still prefer stock with no-touch (of anything shiny or visible) open or close.
