I remember that fiasco! I have my car wash brush handle positioned in the middle of the hood because I need to climb into the engine bay (massive 5’5” body) to get the lid on and off. Especially helpful getting to that nut I mentioned on the wiring harness bracket bolted to the transmission housing. With one on each side I surely would have kicked one, causing a loud noise, quite a few cuss words, and a headache.When I took my STB off I held the hood up with a broom handle on one side and a piece of plastic conduit on the other side, each offering support at the hood pins above. Reservoir tank and airbox were unbolted so that I could clean everything after the car sat in the railyard for a while in Missouri.
