I blew a fuse installing a Diode Dynamic LED and had to read the manual. It says:

The fuse panel is in the right-hand side of
the passenger footwell behind a trim panel
and plastic key code card.
To remove the trim panel, lift it from the
rear retaining hooks, while pulling it toward
you and swinging it away from the side. To
reinstall it, line up the tabs with the grooves
on the panel, drop the panel back into
place, and then push it shut.
To reach the fuse panel, first remove the
key code card.
After replacing a fuse, return the key code
card to the original position. To reinstall
the trim panel, lineup the tabs with the
grooves on the panel, drop the panel back
into place, and then push it shut to reinstall
the trim panel.

What is a Key Code Card. I assume it is a cover over the fuses behind the cover. I did not have one. Not that this is a big deal. Do you have one?

JUST a guess....is there any piece of plastic down there with a diagram/chart/listing.... The Key Code Card I would ASSUME (could be totally wrong) is a card that lists the fuses by spec via color. IE green fuse = X and the Yellow fuse is for Y kind of thing. Basically a guide for the fuses.

This sounds like an error in the manual. The 'key code card' is actually a credit card sized card that is clipped to the face of the Body Control Module (yes, that fuse block in the kick panel is actually a computer) and it gives the code for the push buttons on the outside of the door for the keyless entry keypad. The Mustang does not have this access keypad so there is no key code card. Unfortunately, this is an error in the manual and there is actually nothing missing from your vehicle. It is not a card that shows the fuse locations or anything like that.

Did the same, no key card, so I'll just have to look at the manual pages shown on line since I dont have the hard book. Did anyone else have trouble getting the plastic cover off? Mine had two tabs in the center area and I was finally able to pry them out. The hard one to get out had a metal tang on it the other was bare plastic. Can someone tell me the fuse that covers the DOME LIGHTS- Im assuming they are the same as the Demand light?

And just to verify, my interior/dome lights wont come on-and I figure these are the DEMAND light- tried pushing the buttons etc, but they never come one, even when the door is opened. was told its fuse #1- a 10amp thats a gold color. It looks OK, and it was a bear to get out. Is there supposed to be some tweezer like things inside that box to pull a fuse out?

Did you buy the car used? If so, there the possibility some nimrod turned the interior lights off in the As Built using a Forscan….

George, bringing back a six year old thread is not going to help you. It would behoove you to repost this in the Issues, Repairs, Warranty, TSB, Recalls forum.

yes, can I set up/use Forscan, or would I need a scanner? George

Yes I did, the fuse looks OK, but I'll replace it anyway. How do I use the Forscan?

Thanks, Im new, will do, but that one reply did get me thinking- the function of the interior lights could be turned off, just not sure I can do the Forscan thing- do you know if its too complicated for a average joe to use. I do know how to hook up the OBD port, but........ I will try the fuse first, but have to find those TINY ones- not the mini but smaller! PS: Im a life long biker, up to over 70 bikes. Also retire, dont ride much but still have XT250 Yam, Honda 250 Nighthawk, and a Yam RD400 2 stroke.
