Alright-alright.... I feel its time to come clean with you folks.
I have a fake!
Damn... it already feels better getting that off my chest.

Here is my car when I bought it:

Over the last 42 years, I decided to upgrade and make it look like it could get it out of the 18 second 1/4 mile times.
The body panels and other modifications cost more than expected and I still have the stock 129 hp engine installed. But it REALLY looks like a modern day Shelby GT350.

I even fooled the guys next to me at a local car show. I had to roll up the tinted windows to hide the factory installed 8-Track player. I also had to arrive hours prior and leave after everybody else so no one hears the non VooDoo exhaust.
It actually looks like a real GT350 and it fooled real GT350 owners:

Ima throw my daughters car in! We been working on it , and have it finally where she wants it minus grill and chin spoiler which is ordered!! It’s full bolt on with rob shoemaker behind the tuning! Very happy with how the car runs and looks… plus how proud I am her for being able to purchase it all on her on with no help needed! This is dec 24th 2020 when bought and how it sits now!

I bought my beauty Athena back at the end of 2018 for 28k back in TX then moved back to sunny southern AZ in 2020. I’ve put in just a bit of work cosmetically as I replaced the front fascia with a new GT350 fascia and had it repainted. The wrap was nice but I love her natural beauty. Other than that I only need headers before I’m FBO. Then it’ll be back to cosmetics work.
