Yep, Boise. Don't make my way SE much...we get a pretty good cars and coffee crowd here (S550s and other cars in general), and do some fun event cruises on occasion.Just wondering if there are any Idaho peeps out here. I'm in SE Idaho myself... not too many 'stangs over here (seems like very few S550s too).
Nice! Absolutely love Boise - would be a great excuse to take a drive across I-20 through the mountains.Yep, Boise. Don't make my way SE much...we get a pretty good cars and coffee crowd here (S550s and other cars in general), and do some fun event cruises on occasion.
I was bummed I missed the announcement of the cruise this past Saturday, otherwise I would have been there in my GT. I saw some photos posted later on FB, and I think I see your GT350:Hi Friedmud! I live in Eagle ID, just NW of Boise!
We have several car events starting up around here:
We had a cruise last Saturday with the Treasure Valley Mustang and Ford Club (http://www.treasurevalleymustang.com/). We had around 50 cars cruise out south into the county and then back into town finishing at the Boise Roadster Show. Last year, the COVID shutdown killed the 2020 Boise Roadster Show on the Wednesday before the Fri-Sun event. When the 2020 shutdown order was issued, many of the entrants were enroute to Boise or had already arrived and were setting up when they were told to go home. Good to get that event going again this year.
TVMFC is hosting the International Mustang Meet 42 in Boise this year on Sept 3-6. We're expecting around 400 cars from the US and Canada. Checkout https://imm42.com/.
With the IMM-42 coming in late summer, TVMFC is downsizing their usual annual Car Show. They are still doing a "Saturday in the Park" event at Kleiner Park in Meridian ID on June 12, but this year it will be just a "Show and Shine". No judging nor awards. There will be food, product vendors and good times! https://www.facebook.com/TVMFC/
The first SCCA Autocross weekend is March 27 and 28. You can find that on the Snake River Region Sports Car Club of America website (SRRSCCA). We have 20 events scheduled this year. https://boiseautocross.com/
I hear you guys have a good SCCA club in your neck of the woods as well.
The Southwest Idaho Sports Car Club is planning their first TDS Rallye in July. A late start, but we've got a lot of old fogies in the club (OK, including me!). http://www.swiscc.org/
The Boise Track Guys have three private open track day events set up for this year at Oregon Raceway Park (https://oregonraceway.com/) in June, July and September. I'm hitting the last two events. There's no website, but we have openings. Last I saw, we had (on average) only 13 folks signed up, which makes the track rental a bit expensive per person (around $500+), but we have the track all to ourselves. Six hours of track time to run as much as you want! Newbies are welcome. I have only 7 track days under my belt. Let me know if you're interested.
There's more, but I need to keep some dates open for my motorcycles!
C'mon up and join the fun!
Wow! Thanks for all the info!Hi Friedmud! I live in Eagle ID, just NW of Boise!

Is there a FB group to join? I'm definitely interested in Cars and Coffee... that's my kind of event.I was bummed I missed the announcement of the cruise this past Saturday, otherwise I would have been there in my GT. I saw some photos posted later on FB, and I think I see your GT350:
I'm not sure what's going on w/ Boise Cars and Coffee - it seems the FB page has been inactivated...hopefully someone still puts on the meets once per month at the Village.
Nice - if you're headed up drop me a DM.I'm in Salt Lake, so only 2.5 hours or so from Idaho Falls. I go up there on occasion.
Yes, but since last fall the Boise C&C FB page has been intermittent. I check periodically to see when the first meet up of the year will be.Is there a FB group to join? I'm definitely interested in Cars and Coffee... that's my kind of event.
Beautiful ZL1, very nice and congrats! Can't hate on them, excellent machines. Had a blue ZL1 and it is what made me fall in love with the 10R80--albeit I wanted to try a ford/coyote build instead.Don't disown me, guys! Finally got my ZL1 delivered yesterday:
No, I've decided to sell it. I listed it for sale in the M6G classifieds and other websites so if you know anybody interested, let 'em know. I'll miss it, but the ZL1 is plenty of car for me by itself.Oh dang - that is pretty hot! Are you going to keep the mustang too?
Thanks! Yes, ZL1s are formidable machines - the complete package of power, chassis, handling, dynamics, steering, and looks.Beautiful ZL1, very nice and congrats! Any mustang/good car events up north near CdA? I'll definitely bring mine down for the bigger ones later in the year.

I know there is a "Mustang Day" cruise on Saturday. I don't know if I'm going to make it there for the start - but I may try to meet up somewhere along the way.
Hopefully I'll catch you guys there!
Anything else going on this weekend?
