Not sure about that. Governments are struggling to keep up with road repair and replacement with a 50% fuel tax (at least up here). No offense but this is literally the easiest of the issues to overcome.

That's because governments are poor and prioritize welfare over infrastructure. In the US at least, the main issue with the gas tax is that the federal government dumped all the interstates onto the states to manage, which given how many miles exist is pretty crippling especially with all the other miles of road. The gas tax has been less and less powerful as the years have gone on and cars have gotten more efficient. Not sure about that. He means that governments will easily solve that by just taxing EVs. Either by the amount of watts you use, or by miles traveled. Not sure about that. Governments are struggling to keep up with road repair and replacement with a 50% fuel tax (at least up here).
You can tax at annual registration or by electricity use. I'm not sure how you do that fairly. He means that governments will easily solve that by just taxing EVs. Either by the amount of watts you use, or by miles traveled.
Probably go by miles traveled. That would be similar to per gallon as it's expected you drive a certain amount of miles with each gallon of gas.You can tax at annual registration or by electricity use. I'm not sure how you do that fairly.
Careful what you wish for. Maybe our insurance companies will track our mileage and our speeds too.Probably go by miles traveled. That would be similar to per gallon as it's expected you drive a certain amount of miles with each gallon of gas.
Oh I don't wise it at all, I think that's a terrible way to go about it. But I'm sure it's headed that way.Careful what you wish for. Maybe our insurance companies will track our mileage and our speeds too.
"Hello Mr ice445, we see you did a 120MPH pull on I-15 yesterday. Due to this egregious violation of public safety, your policy has been cancelled."Oh I don't wise it at all, I think that's a terrible way to go about it. But I'm sure it's headed that way.
And we are being tracked today as it is, whether it's Ford or our cellphone carrier.
People put solar pannels are their home. There are plenty of solutions; stop fighting progress.Ok so your plan is to put up 1000000000000000 wind mills? And Chinese solar panels. By the way all those panels and windmill parts are manufactured using hardrocarbon derived parts. Then we’re going to put all this extra electricity on a grid that’s been around since the 1940s. What could possibly go wrong?![]()
I heard We have black boxes in our cars. Why?"Hello Mr ice445, we see you did a 120MPH pull on I-15 yesterday. Due to this egregious violation of public safety, your policy has been cancelled."
Cant wait for it to be so expensive to insure without the data monitoring that it's essentially impossible, or they just remove the option entirely. That's what's hilarious about living in the golden age of horsepower, the insurance companies are dying to punish people for using it. Even if you do it in a manner that doesn't endanger anyone but yourself, they won't care. It's track or nothing, even though tracks across America are being closed because they're "too loud".
How does that have anything to do with the point I made? 800,000 people committed suicide in 2020. You gonna follow there lead also?People put solar pannels are their home. There are plenty of solutions; stop fighting progress.
Yup, let's cover up half the country with solar panels and batteries cuz that's what's going to take to power the whole country and 300 million cars. Surely that won't have any impact on the environment.s o l a r
You just toss them in the ocean, obviouslyNot to be a EV party pooper but Where do we put all the all the used batteries?
