“The logistics team at the plant has prioritized your vehicle. Sounds like the logistics team is made up of ex politicians. I'll keep you posted.”

my car has been at Penske getting painted stripes for 23 Days hope they get done soon car was produced Nov4Th no updates frustrating

Yep, that's about right from what I remember, Cris...hard to imagine they actually spend that much time on one vehicle, I know. Sure would like to be a fly on the wall for half a day.

Hey @Snoopy49 did something update? I just checked the trackmymustang site and it shows awaiting shipment today. It was frozen on produced the last 4 weeks step 2/4 and I’ve been checking it daily. Shows step 3/4 today.

Steve: I don't recall if the text below was Earl's or not but pretty sure it was. I think it'll answer your questions.

So, lots of questions on the process...let me try and summarize.

Body Shop - Bodies are physically assembled. This is the part you see on TV with the welding robots connecting all the pieces to make the body

Paint Shop - Pretty self explanatory...however, the tracking system you all use doesn't break this
out...it is part of body shop.

Trim Line - This is where the car is actually assembled.

From there the car goes through a series of dynamic and static tests, a water test, and a final
inspection.

Then it goes to internal stripe area, or the mod shop for the carbon bits if it is a Track Pack.
Other cars head out for shipping.

Penske cars go once the car has finished all testing, and mods are done.

Trim Line
Produced - Base Models without stripes go from here to Released awaiting shipment.
Mod Shop - Vinyl stripes and CFTP wheels , wing and maybe rear seat delete kit.
Body Company (Penske) for Painted Stripes
Released
Shipped
Delivered

Mine has not moved since Nov 9. Just awaiting to be released to be shipped. Base car with Vinyl OTT.

I guess my contact at FORD was right they were waiting for additional cars to loaded for Houston area your car my car and another car I knew was all going to Houston with 3 other cars headed to Spring Tx - now we got to get the truck delivery drivers to Deliver them they hate to load these type of car because they are so low to the ground and get damaged
