I finally set out to redo my 2019 GT base system. I am in the process of the 8” Sync 3 conversion. I am using the 9 in 1 speaker wire to run my signals to the AudioControl LC7i. I ran off the schematic for the 6 speaker system. My question is which harness will I find the correct colors? The one that locks into the APIM or at the bottom of the control panel. Appreciate the input.

Neither, you have to pull the acm and its in the harness that plugs into it. Thats the silver box in the pic. Colors wont match the speed wire unless you have a t harness.

Gotcha, I was wondering about that after I posted. I’ll take a look at it tomorrow. I printed off the wiring diagram for the 6 speaker setup. I know I just need to tap into the 4 front and rear leads.

What is this t harness you speak of?

Any reason you're not reprogramming your ACM to variable line output and get a DSP of any kind instead of the LC7i?

I actually already had the LC7i left from an audio build I didn’t do in my previous BMW.

Ah ok. :)
Reuse of existing equipment is always good. :)

Now you guys got me wondering about this. I have no issues with buying new parts. So is the Rockford DSP the recommended unit? Mine is a base model GT, what T-harness would I use?

The Rockford unit is recommended with every Shaker or Mustang B&O system, but not the base system.
Give idatalink a call about their new dFO2 harness. According to their website you could use the Maestro AR with that harness to get a preamp output for any DSP/amplifier or the AR certified DSPs/amplifiers.

So after looking at your suggestion, it looks like I need the dFO2 harness, Rockford DSR1 and run rca cables back to my amps and use my speed wire to connect to factory wiring harness, via the dFO2, and then splice in my crossover near the footwell. Am I starting to see this right? I am having issues finding the dFO2 though. I am in no big hurry as this isn’t my daily driver. I am in the process of the 8” sync 3 conversion right now.

With the dFO2 harness you could use an AR and any DSP you want.
Or spare that money and go the route with the modified CARAV 12-240 harness. It's totally up to you.
But yeah, what you wrote would be the way to go.
Connect your amps to the outputs of either the AR or the DSR1 (dFO2 as input to either) and speedwire to your crossovers and from there to the drivers.
