Thanks in advance to the community for some help on this.

I recently sold my corvette and am looking for the right GT350. I live in Ohio and will need to drive the car sometimes in colder weather, under 40 degrees. I was leaning towards a 2017-2018 because the tires would be better for this temperature range, and a 2019 or up would have the track tires that wouldn’t work at those temps. I was thinking that it wouldn’t be as simple as putting all-season tires on the 2019 or up because the suspension is tuned for the summer tires.

Are my assumptions correct?

IMO you can put whatever tires you want on the car... you will loose more performance in the change of tire compounds than you would for the suspension tuning.

There are winter sets if you don't mind swapping out tires 2 times a year.

Thanks for the reply. Aren’t the stock tires on a 2017-2018 three season tires and the 2019-2020 Summer only? Is that right?

sorta... the minimum temp is diff between cup2 and the supersports... but technically both are summer....

and I actually run the super sports on my 2019 for daily and/or rainy track days. but I don't think they are ideal for cold temps.

depending on how long you want to drive it in cold weather i'd consider a separate set of wheels with snow tires and just run those when temps fall below 40 ish.

One of the best kept secrets of the GT350 world is that Ford makes a set of snow tire rims for the GT350 that'll take 255.40 front and 265/40 x 19 rears, and clear the brakes , etc. Those tires are the same diameter as the factory tires so the speedometer stays in calibration. The rims are about $130 each from your friendly online Ford dealer. A set of all-seasons on those for the cold months makes a lot of sense.

I guess I should have checked first - they've been $130 each for years - now priced at $600 where they belong. Sorry. FR3Z 1007 S and T.

No, they are all summer tires.
Cross reference. I'm thinking Porsche & BMW SUV's would have all seasons in similar sizes.

If it's a very occasional drive below 40F but on dry/ clear roads, you can just run Pilot Super Sports for the street and exercise caution when it's cold, and you will be fine.

If you will see real weather (may get caught in snow, cold rain, sleet, etc.) - invest in real winter tires. I am not seeing all-season options, but these are available along with a couple Pirelli options: Michelin winter tires

I’ve got an early meeting again tomorrow. Supposed to be 39F when I head out. I’ll probably spin most of the way.

:Eye bulge:

Thanks for the p/n. I’ll post in the Parts sticky if they’re not already there.

OP, another option is to get a second set of OEM wheels (scan the GT350 Classified section, they come up from time to time) and put a set of performance winter tires on them.
This is what I did - found a set of Pirelli Sottozeros on close out. I use them for storage and late Spring/early Fall when the summer tires are slippery as hell due to the low temps.
