I stopped by the body shop today to check on the progress of my painted stripes for my 2019 RR , GT-350

@torque124, that looks sweet! How do you like the feel of the wheel at the textured area/driving position?

I like it a lot. I used to have one of those DTM or what steering wheels on my track pack which were purchased here on group buy, and I always missed it. I learned to hold my hands at 9 and 3 o'clock anyway, and it's perfect for me. For one that drive with the hand at 12'oclock might not be ideal, as the carbon fiber might become slippery if you sweat... although it's mat, not shinny/gloss.

Now, that shift knob..........
I like the OEM shift knob... I don't think you have to be "assorted" on carbon fiber at all; although if they would offer a CF kit for the dash that would not break the bank, I would buy it. I like the new 2020 with CF dash... better than just plastic.

Looks great. Does anyone know if they make an all leather steering wheel for the 350?
Not a huge fan of the carbon fiber on the steering wheel for my preference I would prefer all leather
I really liked the look and feel of the leather in my 2016 GT... Did not like the feel of the material when they changed it in the 2018+ model year (GT).
Having a hard time getting used to the alcantara and keep envisioning it wearing badly....

they do offer an all leather. They have a lot of customization options as well beyond that. Only downside is they have been sold out for as long as I’ve been checking their site haha

Out of curiosity, could you ask how much it would cost to re clear the whole car?
May be a good option to have a much better and thicker clear.[/Q

My very early GT350R has the screw on oil filter; I’ve read that some have vibrated loose. Not all lube techs correctly torque to 16-18 lbs or pre lube the gaskets . Thanks to the help of our forum depth of experience I’ve installed the worm gear clamp snug against the block casting after using my new micro torque wrench to 18 lbs and marking the oil filter to the block for quick view of any movement!
