Good luck with your new part! I hope it truly does what you imply that it does.............
Much like the first part, it should not be backing or coming off.
Just wanted to chime on folks, I'm not one to post often but this topic just gets me irked a little.
For reference: Previous job was a test driver for all 3 big manufacturers with plenty of mechanical knowledge on vehicles and pushing them to the limit. I have many years of open track/racing...
Never owned a truck, had a 99 Landcruiser that over achieved towing a 24' travel trailer, Tige 21' wakeboard boat and 18' open car hauler. Got this Ram 1500 eco 'baby' diesel just over a year ago and it tows and drives like a dream! The mileage is outstanding, one of the reasons I went for it as...
I should have probably started a new thread but just wanted to chime in and say that I had a similar experience as pilotgore.
I installed a UPR magnetic drain plug on the last oil change before heading out to Sonoma in early August.
First time out with this car on track and it was the first...
Sounds like your close...........look in the lower openings in the front fascia, below each turn signal. IIRC, driver side is engine oil cooler (all 350's have this) and the passenger side is the one you want to see, that is the transmission cooler/radiator. Also, shine a flashlight through the...
I too purchased a set of the knock offs like mentioned, no where close to factory appearance or even something I would put on my car. I started looking for an OEM set but kind of figured the patina my rear fenders is there to stay.............albeit with a little touch up paint.
At this point it doesn't sound like you need more convincing but if you are able to see a set first hand, I guarantee you it will seal the deal! Not to mention all the other added benefits - weight, structural integrity, clearance, etc.........
Terrance doesn't know this yet, but I'm already...
Great video, thanks for sharing. Someday I will have to make it up that far north to run Thunderhill, looks like a fun track. Also, wanted to thank you on the write up for the AWE switch path, I installed mine based on your instructions/pictures and one of the best mods I have done so far...
I have the Simpson Hybrid device through work and have used it both on a regular 3 point seatbelt and 5 point harness system in a race car. As other have mentioned, I would concentrate on the safety equipment first and then add to it as you see fit.
You could start off with the Hybrid hans and...
Nice pics and some great cars! Keep them coming fellas.
Recently pulled out the foxbody from the side of the house to give it a going over and oil change, hadn't touched it since last on track.
Thanks for the detailed write up on great mod. I may wind up doing this after a similar incident as @johnny1. I too escaped any carnage and now leave the hood slightly open to remind me to disconnect the battery tender.
Good for you Terrance! What a great way to keep experiencing all the neat things that keep this car hobby rolling...............and to boot, a bad ass race car like that at your hands, definitely something for the personal history book.
Oh wow! Those look amazing!!! I see you are starting off subtle...........
Here is one I took when up Angeles Crest during the day...........minus the model/girlfriend/wife............
Ok, one more.....................
Congratulations Terrance! Great story. Well deserved for all your efforts and hard work in the enthusiast car world.
Looking forward to seeing a beautiful set of Signature wheels on that bad boy!!!
Hey Fellas,
Definitely still interested but I won't be able to make tomorrow. Some guys at work are getting into the car scene and we are meeting over at Corona Cars and Coffee. Not nearly as big as San Clemente but it is a little more local.

@oldbmwfan is spot on. I have the same set up except with the 4S's for the same reason, I did not want the rear 325 tire poke that I had seen on several other 350's. Mine are also mounted on Signature wheels, SV503 R spec.
I'd be game. Another consideration would be a run up Angeles Crest and stopping/having lunch at Newcombs. But with this weather, snow may have parts of it closed.
Got the alignment checked and dialed in yesterday morning. I had about a 35 minute drive each way and was really able to pay attention to the new handling characteristics of the car. First off, according to my butt dyno, I like what the Ford Performance springs did to the overall feel of the...
