I just wish my doors would lock if I forget to lock them when I walk away with the keys... from what I can figure out the GT doesn't do this????

No it doesn't. I do not think any US spec Ford does this. My '99 Cougar does after something like 30 minutes but that vehicle was a European based vehicle.

I agree - my other two cars that were "keyless" did the auto-lock. This feature is sorely missing from the S550. Hopefully Ford can do a software update and add it in, else what's the point of keyless?

I'd still say it's correct to call it keyless. I never take the key out of the pocket. If I want to lock, I just touch the door handle when leaving the car.

This video is supposed to apply to the Mustang as well, but I could not get this procedure to work. If someone else figures it out, please let us know!

Nope, not me here in Aus (our cars don't auto-lock, but I would like to have the feature)

Actually the cars with the door locking when walking away is never a good idea. You never know if the doors are actually locked.

I love the auto lock function when walking away in my GMC. It honks and I know it is locked. I really miss it on the GT!

I do the same as i did with the S197
Press the lock button twice, for 3 reasons
Piece of mind
Love to see my hood indicators flash
and on the 2nd press the horn bleeps

Think it pretty daft the car does not auto lock, and why have they taken away the red flashing lock symbol which was on the S197 which would flash so you know the car was locked
All you get now is it says All Sensors then goes out

Door Lock Indicator
An LED on each door window trim
illuminates when you lock the door. It
remains on for up to 10 minutes after you

switch the ignition off.

I have a question about this.
I see I can enable Auto Unlock but there’s an option that says feedback and I can select audible or exterior lights.
What does that have to do with Auto Unlock?

It a notification that the feature has been activated. Your choice of audio or visual notification.
By the way there is an alternative to asking about all if your features. Try them and see what happens. It’s tough learning a new car and I’ve always found this to work.

Tried but somethings I just don’t notice. I have to be honest with Auto Unlock I haven’t heard a noise or seen any lights flash have you?

When I am unlocking from the outside that’s a bit different.
What audible tone are you looking out for when unlocking the vehicle that you have heard either inside or outside?

Honestly I never really noticed :) I’m going to check in the morning.
