How to Enable Heated/Cooled Seats - All Models

I assume you're referring to power lines. It is a good question. The seat power fuse is 30 amps. Heated/cooled line alone is 30 amps. If you manage to route an independent 30 amps line to the h/c wire, you should be food. I personally used the same seat 30 amps line to feed the h/c module, assuming when these are on, you are not messing with your passenger seat power. If you do while heat is on, potentially you're drawing (max) 60 amps from that single line, which is a risk. But how long you would be messing with your seat position? I think low risk.
However, if you manage to feed an individual 30 amps line to your h/c module, you will be safe.

Has anyone had a chance to check the resistance of the wires? If not then how do i do this myself? I haven’t started wiring yet but want to have all my ducks in a row before i ask more questions ha

I used Amazon, see attached. 14 gauge for power and 18 for data lines.

Due to having ms and not having complete control of my hands any longer. Is there a way to buy the harness? I’ve upgraded my base to sync 3 and I’m in the process of purchasing oem leather seats and I would love to have the heated and cooled seats work. Thanks ahead for any assistance!

For $250 I can build you one and ship it, this would be the harness that goes between the two seats only. Rest of the work is tabbing two datalines and one hot line. I will make ~$80 from building you that harness.

I am the guy who sent you the PM about creating a switch to work the heating and cooling of the premium seats. I am new to this site. I have a 1982 mustang GT and want to install the premium seats in that car. I have seen the schematic for the power to the seats however, I cannot find the schematic that would outline how I could hook up a rocker switch that would control the heating and cooling of the seats. Can you point me in the right direction?

If we can prove the fan and heated pad takes 12 volts, you can wire rocker switches... I still haven't got a chance to measure voltage supplied to fan and heated pad.

NC GTier, would u be willing to make me a stand alone harness for my seats with the rocker switches? Provided we can use the rocker switches. For times sake I’m very tempted to just let u build it instead of me wasting time scratching my head.

1970bird, lol sorry I am not smart, I don't even know if the rocker switches cocept would work. My proposal was for someone with Gen 6 mustang where I can mimic the original harness.
We need to see what the fan and heating pad voltage is and go from there

I think I got lucky my seats came with the connectors and enough wire to splice into. Only thing is one of the connectors has two extra wires on it as you can see in the pics.

Super lucky to get the connectors.
These two wires are the data lines, feeds to memory module under driver seat. Doesn't hurt to connect them.

Guys,

I got my seats last Friday. I am thinking about building a device to send a can bus message to the seats. I have to do more research to figure out if it can be done. Thinks that I need to know and what is the can bus id for the seats and what does the message look like for Heat/AC.
