Need help with getting a 2019 mustang gt base model in Los Angeles. I’ve been talking to 3 ford dealers and only one of them has a base gt around $34,500. They say they can’t go lower and they are already at invoice price. I don’t qualify for the zero percent but I feel that the price might be a little too high. Out the door it’s around $38k to $39k. Should I take the deal? Anyone know of a good dealer willing to negotiate. It seems like the ones out here don’t want to go any lower even though the 2020’s are already hitting the lots.

I paid a bit over $35k for a pp1 ‘19GT with every option but magnaride. I’d say your options are a bit steep myself. But I didn’t do a lot of shopping around either. I assume it all comes down to location.

That’s got to be an area thing... here in Virginia you can get a base GT out the door for the mid to upper 20’s, a premium for the mid 30’s.

I would suggest moving your search outside of the greater LA area. California a big state. I'm sure you can find one for far less than the one you posted. You can, of course, consider an out of state purchase but I believe there are additional CA fee costs involved in this.

The price the OP posted is pretty good considering his location. I too am located in CA and looking to purchase a Base GT.
I know I could save at least $5K buying a few states away but as soon as I try to register it here, CA will rape me for thier share of taxes.

Bought mine in Virgina@Koons and it was around 550 miles each way to get there and back. Would do it again tomorrow, I don't have the exact amount but paid around $33,500 for a 2018 Mustang GT PP with 13 miles on it after my test drive.

Where I lived upon purchase generally you only see 3-5 mustangs on the lots. There was only one GT, which is what I grabbed.
Not really the big sellers. Gives wiggle room. I purchased when 19 was the current MY. If I had been shopping for a truck or SUV, I'd have been screwed for haggling.

Finding a leftover in a less "sport" oriented location should help. Save a few grand anyway.

Not sure how California works on the interstate purchase. But these aren't big sellers everywhere.

Then again I traded in and paid cash. I was able to deal in the take it or leave it mentality. I figure financing hurts that
