Car Seats and Sciatica

Premium seats were killing me on the ride home last night. Sad to say, but I might be trading this in sooner rather than later. Too bad. Everything else about the car is great.
Same boat here.. Even replaced the bottom cushion to no avail. I bought an amazon seat cushion I sit on for long drives. Problem semi solved for $40. Its much better than the factory seat but not as soft as the couch.

I've got a manual inflatable back insert ordered and on the way. I'm going to see if that helps. The seat cushion is a great idea as well - thanks.

The inflatable back seat was a bust. I did end up getting a memory foam pad for my back and it's helping. I can't tell if this is the long term solution or not. Selling the car might be the long term answer, but we'll see.

It's a bummer the stock seats are so damn uncomfortable (for me).

I have it very bad. My commute to work is 1 hour each way. I have the same seats as you too. I've tried everything and nothing really seems to help except that I started doing push ups, sit ups, stretches and that seems to be the only thing helping a little. I feel your pain man!

Yea, doing core work does help - good for you. Here's the lumbar support I bought. It's not perfect, but it does help. I haven't driven more than 1 hour with it, so I can't speak to long drives, but for the drive to work it helps.

It is not that I need to workout.. do plenty of that. My issue is my hip bones in my glutes start to hurt after while, like I am sitting on a hard floor. I am sure its just a positioning thing that the stang cannot provide.

Anyone ever get a fix? Tried many of seat cushions to no avail. Will do some research to see if i can get a custom size gel pad, about 1inch think to prevent my hip socket from hurting.
