The test tube from Summit racing. I am meticulous about filling with deionized water to its level, and then e85 gas to its fill level. I use a 5cc syringe for Précision. Let it sit for a bit and check in a level surface. The results are impressive.

But I welcome anyone’s testing/ measuring method.

Not sure if you guys knew about it or not, but I'm reading one of Greg Banish's tuning books and he mentioned some guys use a GM truck flex fuel sensor and it gives them real-time data on the ethanol content. I don't know about the signal output and so on, but it would be cool if you could make a gauge or digital display. I don't run e85, but this thread piqued my interest.

i've got the proflex commander unit coming from advanced fuel dynamics and i am fairly sure that is the sensor they use on this kit to determine E%.

Im running the FuelIt Bluetooth sensor setup on mine. Its give me the e% and fuel temp real time onto my phone.

That's pretty awesome. I'm tempted, there is an e85 station within walking distance from my house. Is there much of a performance improvement though for an N/A car? I can't imagine there being much more spark advance you can throw at it and still be useful. FI though, I could totally see it helping.

Chevron at Fletcher Ave. and Riverside Dr. just off I-5 South in Los Angeles (Silverlake). E-85 from Pearson fuels tests at 84% ethanol.

Done using some polypropylene conical test tubes from my lab.

I'm not sure about the Gen 2 Coyotes - the Gen 3s pick up 40-50 hp reliably with a dedicated E85 tune.
