I had a neighbor with a '14 5.0 with "14P51GT" for a plate. I always thought it was really clever, and I'm sure that the majority of people would just see it as a "basic" (aka somewhat random numbers and letters) plate.

It took about 4 months. Like everything the DMV does, it takes way too long.
