tuner needs to correct this, send him a datalog and a explanation of what is happening and they should be able to fix it
I did. We did about 6-8 revisions with the data log and they said they can’t do anything as it’s an internal engine problem.

Get a tuner who knows what he's doing.

This usually happens when the throttle closes to control boost the throttle inlet pressure exceeds what the sensor can read and it goes into protection mode.

He can do one of two things request more load so the throttle never closes or he can turn boost down, im not familiar with sct but on hp tuners we have a parameter that we can change to a value the map sensor can never reach so we dont get that overboost limp mode.

My tuner said they cannot adjust the parameters and won’t tune it if I get the stage 2 map sensor. We tried lowering the boost but the issue remains stock or tuned. They basically sent me on my own without any help at all. The car also uses coolant like a bitch. Probably have to add it in every week or so. The other day it sucked it completely dry as I forgot to top it off and had to refill the system. Does anyone know of any local mechanics or tuners around Boynton Beach Florida? I’m about done with the car. I’m either gunna sell it or attempt a big horsepower engine swap but really would like to save the 8k. I recently got in contact with a mustang enthusiast that works at the dealer and he told me I was still under warranty and it was almost guaranteed an internal issue. However, when i replaced the head gasket I voided the warranty and now they won’t help me either. Hate this car. I really wish I had a better experience but that’s my fault for getting the eco boom.

The tune part can be fixed by any competent tuner, you can unmarry the sct and sell it, and go either cobb or ngauge, you can find competent tuners that works on any of those.

the coolant part is mechanical and i cant suggest any place as i don't live in the us, but it doesn't sound like something common with ecoboost mustangs

No, Lund dont care about Ecoboosts and have straight up lied to me about tuning Ecoboosts, Cobb Accessport is THE best tuner for Ecoboosts, then find a good pro tuner who uses it (Tune+ and PDTuning being the main two)

Lund is not the only one who uses ngauge, depending on the tuning tool of each tuner they will ask you to buy one for remote tuning (hp tuners uses ngauge, cobb uses the accesport and sct uses the x4 thing)

if you can find a competent tuner thats local to you and works with hp tuners you dont even need to buy any of that, so you can save 300+ usd of the handheld device
