I actually like what Tesla has done. It’s a wicked fast car and the level of G’s are retarded. But, it’s a silent car. I don’t think I could get over the lack of engine sound haha

I like when people shit on people who buy the V6. Like they think all mustangs should be V8’s or you’re a pussy. If I’m not mistaken the first mustangs produced were straight 6’s
You are correct, I6 with automatics, secretary cars is I think what they called them. My mother in law had one. BTW, even back then they even had the AT / MT debate....

The above isn’t knocking an EB or V6, drive what you want as long as it isn’t a Camaro.

I’m definitely not bashing the V6 with my previous comments. I just think the statement of the V6 beating the GT is absurd.
I can almost agree with that . . . almost. There are those who take what they read in the sales brochures and magazine articles as guaranteeing the outcome for every case. Trouble is, real life doesn't always work out that way, and until the driver has no part in it at all "exceptions" will continue to happen. At least once in a while.

Heh . . . when it's you driving the "underdog car" it's a little extra special when you take down the obvious favorite. No matter how it happened.

You can't drive a Camaro because you can't see out of it

Haha. I find basically every chevy car truck or suv to be ugly as all hell. Except corvettes. Will always like them

True, but the fact is from a performance point of view which is the view the V6 bashers take, they would be instantly and utterly humiliated by just about any Tesla at any moment by a mom with groceries and a beagle in the back seat. No steeda stuff, no obnoxious exhaust, no mods, drag tires and 4 doors. nada.
Boring and sad, but true. Different world now.

I mean a lot of cars get smashed by the Tesla. Probably most cars. Currently combustion is still king. But I don’t think it’s gonna be that way forever.

Will a V6 hold value better than a GT350 though? Should be more rare and special since Ford stopped making it!
I'll give you the Fatguy argument on how a V6 holds value better than a GT: your fully loaded GT was $50k OTD and now you're selling it for $30k two years later, well I bought my V6 for $18k and can sell it for at least $14k so I only lost $4k over the same period. I could have bought my car with how much value yours lost!

I wish I got mine as cheap as he did, if I was aware of how cheap some people were supposedly getting their new GTs for ($28k OTD!), I certainly would have gotten one too. I'm not ashamed to say that I couldn't afford a GT, but I'm also happy with the improvement over my last car (a 2014 Corolla aka appr. 100whp) until the point that I can comfortably afford my next car.

It’s a shame fat guy didn’t have a YouTube channel. If he would have posted videos of all his GT kills. It most likely would have saved the V6. Who wouldn’t want a GT killer for 22 grand?

Yes that is a good idea. But I put real shows on network TV and the numbers are not there for that type of thing. Plus you have the whole street racing stigma.

But you are a real drag racer. Just curious? What was your biggest embarrassment at the track?

But fleet sales.

No test drive but he did show me the car on the lot so I got lucky there. They had to keep the price under the tax limit for a certain class of vehicles. 10 minutes and it was like buying a DVD at Walmart! Other advantages are that the cost is so low you can move up without losing your wallet. I tried that for a 2017 GT and lucked out. Next up is a possible 7.3 Godzilla crate swap and it shouldn’t be all that crazy - cost wise - as the base car was purchased so cheaply. You would be insane to do this swap with a 5.0!

Things like big power, a heavy rumble, and straight line acceleration are generally the first things that most enthusiasts come to understand - within the USA, anyway.

Some actually come to appreciate more about cars in general and (gasp) even engine configurations other than crossplane V8s. Unfortunately, some never do.

The US domestic mfrs almost without exception treated the inline 6 like a tractor or a farmer's pickup truck engine with a couple extra cylinders. And that image still persists even though we're well past the days where inline/cam-in-block, 1-barrel carburetors, and peak HP occurring at around 4000 rpm was state of the art for sixxers.
