Hi,

I was trying to look up some quarter mile times on the factory backed Roush Supercharger Phase 1 package on 10 speed automatics. This is the 700hp/610 torque package advertised by Ford/Roush.

I was surprised to see there is very little information on this. I only ran across one example:

What are other owners running? Or do people not like this package? For that one example above, I was actually expecting a little better trap speed, like in the 130's especially on a 10 speed.

That's good to know, won't the PBD tune void the factory warranty that Roush gives? Just want to see what the Roush package gives you straight from the kit in terms of quarter mile times. It's an option I'm considering, a basic 10 speed GT with performance package 1 with Roush Phase 1 Supercharger

Roush has the newest tune which apparently is much better performance than the old tune.

Well I went ahead and bought a brand new leftover 2018 Mustang GT 10 speed automatic today with Performance Package 1. I still have to time to decide which way I wanna go, but I like the appeal of the Roush package backed by full warranty. But I like how these cars are trapping 120+ with just E85 and minor bolt ons. For reference my Hellcat ran 11.1 @ 129 pretty much stock with intake, I thought a Roush on the 10 speed would be faster, at least trap wise.

Good choice! Where did you purchase it from? Bought mine from Sunstate...Live down the street from Orlando.

There is only so much you can do with the Roush, sadly they missed the mark on the 18+ kits and used too small of a intercooler. You'd be looking at spraying meth or nitrous to bring the temps down and make reliable power over extended pulls or races

I bought it from Mullinax Ford. Don't have in hand yet, picking it up Monday. After about 500 miles (a month driving for me), I'm leaning towards the Roush package. Yeah, I know a whipple will be faster, but 3 years with full warranty on that is just too appealing to ignore.

This is a valid point. The 18+ roush kits are very inlet limited and have major heat soak issues. If it was a good base design, VMP would already be building kits it with it while they are developing theirs. Once you get passed the warranty worries, which are valid on a new $40K plus purchase, you will highly regret not going another direction in FI purchase. Pretty much all the compaines other than Roush have good performing packages for the 18"s - Procharger/Vortech/Paxton/Whipple/Edlebrock=wicked Roush=meh..

I've been a Mopar guy for over 10 years so not up to speed on the Ford aftermarket side of things.

Which of these is the most cost effective yet as reliable as the Roush?
