Going Mak cat deletes (another exhaust thread)

Not yet, been kind of hectic for me the past few weeks. I will definitely update when I do though.

I am finally at the muffler shop now getting them installed so I will have videos soon. I just remembered as they took my car in the bay that I forgot to get a before video of just the mufflers and the xpipe so I am sorry for that but there are tons of videos of gt500 mufflers on gen 1 coyotes.

I am having them do only the cat deletes today to see how it sounds with deletes, xpipe and mufflers. I will take some sound clips and post them today or tomorrow. If it isn't crazy loud and no drone I may stick with that setup. If that doesn't work for me I will bring her back to have the magnaflow resonator installed and post vids of that as well.

It’ll be way louder at first, but you may get used to it in a week or so. When I bolted up my longtubes I thought for sure I’d have to get a quieter catback. A week later I was like “this isn’t that loud”.

Deletes are finished. At this point the car has the MAK cat deletes, offroad x pipe and GT500 mufflers. The volume increased about 40% which is just a little bit too much for me. It introduced some drone in to the cabin. The drone isn't near as bad as it was with my Gibson 3" but it is noticeable. It also introduced a good bit of rasp. It sounds like what you would expect with long tubes with mild mufflers.



I will get the magnaflow resonator installed this weekend and follow up with another clip for comparison.

p.s. the car smells like shit now lol. I will be filling up with some E85 as soon as I get this crappy 93 used up.

i had GT500s on my old 2012 5.0 with 3" pypes X pipe and cat deletes. loved that sound. wasn't too loud at all expect cold start until it got warmed up

Can you let me know if the magnaflow mid resonator works fitment wise at the front connect w the mak factory down pipes w no mods needed. In other words can you reuse the factory clamps at the front w your new set up and does it fit well. Mine leaks at those factory clamps now some. U can see drips on the ground if I leave my car idle when engine is cold and warming up
