I like to disassemble things.
My understanding is that the plug design is similar to the Focus RS. The GT500 bumper will have a threaded insert in what is supposed to be the GT350 bumper. Interesting scenario may play out where Ford saves money by only having one part number....it may happen that 2019 GT350's have the threaded insert in place in the bumper needing only to cut out a hole to access it...

I'm not buying a '19 GT350R for an OEM tow hook.....

Famous last words....

Nice! All these years I have gone to this show, I never realised I had the golden ticket to get inside until today:facepalm:. Kids were asking me how I got in, I told them "I'm rich".:inspect:

Yeah that is probably correct. I assume there is logical engineering behind it but asthetically I don't like it. And for my purpose, driving around town, occasional 1/4 mile run the extra airflow I assume would be more beneficial.

On a side note where is that air going when it hits a brick wall? Wouldn't the next logical place be to the opening next to it? So doesn't the air (to some degree) get pushed through the opening anyway?
Thats a big CFD question there. Basically that air will stagnate and cause a high pressure zone, then air behind it will flow around into the radiator or over the hood/around the bumper. It does a lot of things. Epiphany's CFD shot shows some of this.

You sure do dig up the dirt. I was all set on race red. Then you come along with silver, then the blue. I wish I could see red hot in person.

I agree. I was set on lightning blue, then silver, and now I’m considering Performance blue.

I'm pretty sure performance blue with white stripes will be my choice. The only thing that could sway me is white with blue stripes. 3 of my 4 Mustangs have been white though.....
