I didn't install the remote to the driver compartment but i can access the control panel pretty quick by pulling down the left pass through seat.

The sub itself has regular speaker plugs and can easily be removed if i need to haul something for a single trip. The only problem as i see it is the loss of the ability to slide things into the left side of the back seat compartment with the seats laid down...i can still do that on the right side obviously but would have to be very careful doing that on the left if at all. Thankfully, i also own a raptor and an escape.

I didn't use the spare tire wheel well because with my long distance to florida and tn etc in it....i am seriously considering picking up that doughnut spare for the wheel well.

I didn't use either of the side cubbies because they aren't big enough and not ported enough for the best sound IMO. Also IMO that steathbox is just way over priced for what it is.

Just out of curiosity, how long are the screws you used in the seat back?

The reason I asked was if you ever had a person in that seat and got rear ended hard, would the screws puncture the person? I wish you all the best and no accidents. Enjoy your system!

I don't know. 1/2 probably doesn't clear the board by enough to make much of a difference?

Does anyone know?

Speaking of puncture through the back . There are bigger issues than a 1/2 inch screw.

My ex wife was in a 13 fusion and was rear ended by an F150 and a large metal beam (some part of the trunk I guess I didn't get to examine the car) came through about 6 inches right over my son's head.

If my oldest had been on the left and my youngest on the right my oldest would be dead.

I am not sure the remaining head of a 1/2 inch screw through the bracket..rear board and 8 inches of fabric would even be enough to leave a mark . I am not sure a 3/4 would even leave a mark . 1 inch might leave a tiny wound like hitting your self wil a hole punch???

It was more like a drywall screw length that becomes problematic. 1/2” should be just fine.

Glad your kids are okay. That sounds pretty frightening.

After a few days I can tell you it's definitely an 8 inch sub that sounds similar to my 10 inch from 10 years ago when I had my 05...maybe a touch tamer but also much cleaner and less distorted than that old 10 inch. Right now the sound in my stang of the cars I've owned is only 2nd to a Lexus Mark Levinson.
