Pulsating Start/Stop button

I have a 2018 GT Premium with the 401a package. Kept seeing online and reading that after unlocking door and entering the start/stop button is to light up and pulse 30 times a minute. Have not yet seen this on my car and have it since January. Is there a setting for this or was it not included but just advertised.

It’s there. You see it at night; don’t use remote start before entering.

Mine pulses with engine off with key in my pocket and me sitting in either the driver or passenger seat. With or without brake pedal depressed.

Mine does not light up or pulse at all except for the green light, unlock door sit on seat and no red light on at all, wonder of it needs a trip to the dealer to check if connected

It does not pulse during the day. Check at night.

Agree from repeating testing in sunlight versus a fairly dark garage. Note that after shutting off the engine I needed to get out of the car, close the doors, wait maybe 30 seconds, and then get back in the car. I didn't lock/unlock the doors. Note that in real life the only time I notice the pulse is when testing it. Wouldn't be worth a trip to a dealer to me. :-)

I have the 400a package, mine has never pulsed, it turns red and stays that way. I have checked in the darkest of night and mine just goes red, which doesn't bother me, pulse, no pulse... meh.

Mine pulses when it's sitting in the garage. It's dim but you can see it. Pull it into a dark garage turn the car off and just sit in there. You'll see it pulse

Mine definitely works in my garage. Easier to see when you are in complete darkness.

I have tried with the garage door closed, pitch black its solid red, no pulse....

My 2018 M6 will pulse red once the key is detected. As soon as I push in the clutch, it turns solid green. I haven't timed it to see how long it will stay pulsing though.
