Ford's guaranteed pricing is the lower of pricing less incentives at time of order or lower of pricing less incentives at time of delivery. You get the lowest net price as of either date. I prefer to negotiate price at the time of order. Typically, incentives rise throughout the model year while prices may rise, but it's usually not enough where the dealer will just honor the original price and agree to give you the current incentives at time of delivery if they are better.

X-plan is ok pricing if you don't want to work at it. It will be about $75 to $125 over invoice and also limits the fees the dealer can charge to $100 (I believe). X-plan is invoice less 0.4% + $275 + any dealer fees (admin/doc fee) up to the max amount allowed (pretty sure it's $100). You can do better than X-plan. If you are a Costco member, check their auto buying program for your geographic area. Here in KC, it's invoice less $500 with no fees. It's usually only a select dealer or two in your area, so not every dealer can honor it. $1,000 under invoice is a pretty sweet deal assuming there are no games being played with destination/delivery fees and not more than $200 admin/doc fees. Some dealers might actually beat this as well, but this would be a great deal. Any incentive/rebates would further reduce the price. Also check and see if you might qualify for any Ford private cash offers.
I just checked and the Costco price is about 1k more than my X plan price.

I drove by a dealership in NJ over the weekend that had them installed already on every new car on the lot, including the row of Mustangs facing the road. I'm taking no chances as with my luck they'll jump the gun during prep. My EDD is a Saturday so if it stays, I'll be hanging in the lot all day. :D
Already told my Salesman "no drilling holes" in the front bumper. Will reinforce it to him as the EDD approaches and will also talk to my guy in the service department, so they ll know not to do it. Probably going to order a STO N SHO for the front plate.

Odd, I've never heard of Costco being more than invoice.
I even used my zipcode for where I lived in Lenexa, KS. Since there isnt a costco in the state I live in now. Now I dont know if having a dealer contact me would net a better price. But the listed invoice price was $400 more and I hadnt selected B&O Audio on Costco page.

Does anyone know if the plant shutdown/ upcoming long weekend(s) affect awaiting shipment status? Hoping mine makes it on the truck before.

You have to call the listed dealer to get their Costco pricing. The Costco website will let you build your car and show you MSRP and invoice. If you selected the exact same options, your X-plan price should be around $100 more than the invoice price shown on the Costco site. X-plan is a predetermined formula (invoice less 0.4% + $275). There are no other variables in the X-plan price other than up to the $100 admin/doc fee that a dealer can charge. You have to call the listed dealer to get the final Costco price which is typically about $500 under invoice (about $600 cheaper than X-plan).

I live in KC. The Costco dealer in KC is Dave Littleton Ford in Smithville. Their Costco pricing is invoice less $500 with $0 admin/doc fees. They will honor this pricing on any new Ford vehicle. Give them a call if you want. Ask for Hope Hallowell. She will hook you up.

Just checked the website and my 19 will be delivered to the dealer in 15 days. I thought I wasn’t getting it till mid August.

That can happen quicker delivery date. Sometimes it goes the other way. I found over the years, that the dealership tracking is more reliable. COTUS can at times be unreliable as well as being accurate too.

Do you still get any Ford incentives that are in effect at the time of delivery like Customer Cash?

Yes. Any Ford rebate or private cash still apply. If nothing else, it's a good starting point for negotiating with another dealer. You can always fall back onto the Costco dealer if no other dealer will beat that price.

From what I've heard as long as your car finishes production before the shutdown, you're good. I think only the assembly line people leave during the shutdown, and shipping is still ongoing during the shutdown. Could be wrong though.

So while we're talking rebates and incentives, I want to bounce what my deal was off of you guys and see if its good. I think we did really good but its my first time buying/ordering new from a dealer so give me some feed back.

We ordered 2019 GT Premium w PP1, 400a (in Kona Blue!). Originally tried to order 2018 but it was too late like several of you had. MSRP on the 19 is $44,250, dealer invoice is $41,927. They took $1000 off from invoice b/c we bought a truck the day b4 we ordered the 18, and since the 19 is $156 higher, they are eating that cost. So out of the gate I'm at $40,771. And they are guaranteeing we'll get at least $1000 off for rebates and more if they're higher when it arrives on August 22. So my before tax, title tags price is $39,771. My dealer, Hunt Ford in Franklin KY, charges NO doc/dealer fees, so thats the price - $39,771 (at most).

Thoughts?
