Sounds like maybe I should consider just putting my stock bar back in, bah.

cjgt350 Really appreciate all of the highly detailed information in each of your posts! It's been fun watching this build thread and I've learned quite a bit about our cars. I'll be following suit in similar ways pretty soon so thank you

The titanium heat shields seem to doing their job with no adverse effects. The s197 track junkies along with other platforms have used them quite a bit. The thought is to isolate heat exposure to the caliper pistons and seals. Does it isolate the caliper from being a heat sink? To a certain extent I would imagine it does but thus far the benefits seem to outweigh any drawback particularly running race pads.

I will say the Ferodo pads, Ti heat shields and with better brake fluid the brakes are very consistent running hard for a 20 min HPDE session. The Ti heat shields are more added insurance against a soft pedal but certainly not a requirement. I do think they are attributed to the caliper paint still looking like new.

Pick them up here:

These are the from a front caliper.

Ti heat shields are great on my car too. Calipers were able to be touched after a very short cool down at the track. Every other car I've had put more heat into the calipers.

Eagerly waiting on your review of the FP springs and sway bars, I am leaning this way myself just to keep "ford" parts.
Did some street testing today. Setting on the sway bars are in the firm position. Thus far after some spirited on/off ramps with bumps, etc I really think Ford Performance knocked it out of the park with the spring/sway bar combination. The ride is more firm but not harsh in Normal Mode. Never was the car unsettled. The initial softer rear spring seemed to really allow me to put the power down on exit even with temps in the 50's. If that translates to the track I know there is at least a second to be gained. Really looking forward to testing this setup on the track in two weeks.

No noticeable NVH from the LCA bearing replacement of the bushings.

Now running the most aggressive track alignment to date as well.

Front Camber -2.20*
Front Toe total 0.0*
Rear Camber -1.50*
Rear Toe total 0.30*

Thanks a lot for the initial feedback on the FP Springs and Sways ! Great to hear how this combination works on the street already. Not unimportant as most of us are driving their cars to the track. My current camber settings are -2.5 front and -2.0 rear with plates but without the sway bars so far. I think I will give it a try before my next track day beginning of May. Have fun with your upcoming track day.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. I installed my ford performance rear springs and sway yesterday, front springs are this week. I may have a shop do the front sway bar as that seems like a pain in the ass.

I managed to mangle the rear end links so I'm ordering new ones...:frusty: Plus i'm confused by all the one time use warning from the ford parts catalog, are the TTY bolts or come with painted on thread locker.

Most of the manufacturer say they are one time use so they can sell more. I replaced 90% of my suspension hardware with grade 12.9 except the subframe bolts and the strut spindle bolts.

For your sway bar endlinks go to rockauto. They are less than $10 each for oem

Front sway bar is very easy.

I have to agree with your assessment. I just did my springs and sways, and the ride is as you described. It feels incredibly connected to the road without being overly harsh. Also, the front feels more connected to the rear if that makes sense. FP really did a fabulous job with this as a package, and the overall spring rate as a combined effort between the springs and sways feels pretty perfect. As a side note, I was surprised how much beefier the FP rear bar is over OEM. 4/28 is first planned track day. I can’t wait for the shakedown.

Here’s my alignment specs with MM camber plates:
F camber: -2.4 (max)
caster: 6.9 (max)
F Toe: 0
R camber: -1.9
R Toe: 0 (went with 0 as I have solid rear bushings)

Lithium battery installed....22lbs savings. Very impressed with the Morris Eng bracket. All hardware inc. for install.

Charge with LiFePO4 charger/maintainer before install.

EDIT: The Re-Start technology circuitry of this battery was wreaking havoc on the electrical system. I swapped to the older model ATX12-24 720 (note: older style is 2 lbs more so 20lbs savings)cranking amps without the circuitry and have had zero issues. You just have to be more diligent about not running the battery down and keep it on a LiFePO4 specific maintainer.
