New dates have been added at the track attack. Might want to book asap.....
Booked it back when I got the VIN... that was part of the reason I was so anxious to get that from FP. Going with a friend who picked his 350 up last fall.

Good news from a friend - my chassis number is JR265 and it's off the line, just waiting to go to the Mod Centre. He thinks it could ship out as early as next week, just depends on how fast it gets through the back-up there.

I hope to be able to look at this dash plaque for a long, long time -

The nearly unobtainable (at least in my case) radio blanking plate of a base 920A car -

And, for the first time in public, may I introduce JR265. This truly almost didn't happen and, but for the help of PP0001, Tomster, and many others who for reasons of job security will go nameless, it's finally nearing the end of it's journey at FRAP and will soon be on the way to sunny and warm Florida where I'll meet it and bring it home to the Midwest.

Looks outstanding in that color combination and can only imagine once the CF wing and wheels get installed what the end result will look like.

The body panel gaps look perfect and of course the ride height is sitting a little high based on the polyurethane shipping blocks already in place front and back for the ride down to Daytona Beach.

I am sure that your dealership will remove them during the PDI process and your guess is as good as mine as to how many Base R's will be built for the 2018MY.

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Hey,Hey,Hey! That is awesome pic. That is the pic that would be framed in our house. How many owners would be fortunate enough to have a shot like that.

Another all time favorite would be the Mustangs being converted to Shelbys at LAX.

Congrats Chris! Hope to see it in person someday. We got one of them there radioless cars today.

By the way, looks like AeschyA came closest with his guess of JR288. PM me your address and your official 2018 GT350R dealership poster - 24"x36" of cool - will be on the way.

Sorta on the heels of the "fun with numbers" thread about how Ford seems to enjoy using numbers in their "Easter eggs" and production numbers - like building 526 Rs in '16 to mimic the HP figure, I was thinking more about my chassis number - JR265....

I was born in '65
My first Mustang was a '65
My current Mustang fastback vintage racer (GT350R clone) is a '65
My Cobra replica is registered and licensed as a '65

But, more interestingly, 2+6+5 = 13 and..... what was Shelby's manufacturer plate on all of his cars back in the day????

And I even run a copy of that plate on my replica.....

'Tis both a blessing and a curse.
My wife says that there is no off position on the genius switch. I imagine you two are very much alike. You both share the same profession

I got a nice surprise today - a rail car number and the news that my car passed through Birmingham, AL at 4:30 am today on its way to Florida.

Looks like it just may be "on-time" as per COTUS, after all. I guess I better get busy planning my trip to sunny (and warm) Florida.

Sometime tell them to release mine, lol. Been sitting there since 03/20.

Inching closer each day.... just learned that it arrived at the rail yard and should be unloaded today, then staged for transfer to a truck for delivery to the dealership.

Sounds like it'll be at the store by the middle of next week - and COTUS has been showing 4/28 all along, so dang if it doesn't seem accurate this time.

Had a bit of interest in H2614 the other day from a friend, even though I really had no intention of selling - the plan has always been to trade it in. That fell through as quickly as it came up, so I'll be hauling H2614 to Florida in a couple weeks. The dealership mentioned they may already have a buyer for it, but if anyone is looking for a really nice black, no stripe 350, PM me for details.
