That was how I understood it, but at this stage I don't have any breakdown or paperwork.

They did not vary any of the listed vehicle or accessory prices and applied a discount credit of about $1414 and this reduced GST, LCT and stamp duty accordingly to give me a total discount of $2121.61.............I had told them I was not paying over $80,000
Ah, no disclosure from them!

Well done. It's a good strategy. 72.5k is what they offered me for a GT Manual. No chance. Maybe i should flat out say no more than 70k etc, though i think i could get them to 69k and still have 2k dealer delivery!

OMG this sounds like amateur hour to me. Huge variations from dealer to dealer. At least for the 2015, 2017 every piece of the pricing pie was crystal clear up front.

I'd also be going to Zetland and with the options I'd want my GT sounds like it would be a $79,990 car. I'M OUT!

Wow, what a huge coincidence! Their pricing just happened to be $79999.99. Mate, I would seriously get pricing elsewhere. It's your money but that's just disrespectful IMO. I can give you the name of a dealer that I've been happy with to date if you're interested, just PM me.

Wow, what a huge coincidence!
When I was 17 and stupid, I went to a car audio joint to spec up a sound system for my RS2000 Escort.

The guy asked me what my budget was and I made the mistake of telling him ($1500). He then put together a package which, after installation, magically came to a total of..........$1500.

Once bitten and all that.

I get your point......I was going for the $1000 reduction in dealer charges as experienced by others in this forum and was surprised to get $2k+.......I am surprised there is any discounting at the beginning of the 18 delivery.......I will try another dealer as offered by Apsilon and see how we go

Not wanting to go OT but I was just wondering, amidst all the discussion and pricing has anyone asked their potential selling dealer if the oil cooler and evaparator issues were fixed?

Hey all,
This is my experience of getting a quote in the ACT for a My18 Manuel Gt
Keep in mind when the dealer rang me he was Quoting Vehicle price of $57490, when I said it should be $62990 he said your right that was just a dummy amount entered (MY17 Price) for when I paid the deposit year ago.

But what confuses me is the Drive away price wasn't far off the mark so not sure what to think of all the GST Etc. figurers since it all adds up using the $57490 price, hope it doesn't got up $5500 but it shouldn't. :)
I will get to the bottom of it tomorrow.

but anyway this is what I got.

Vehicle price $57490
Magnetic paint $500
Magneride $ 2750
Rego $ 978.70
CTP $ 589.60
Dealer Del $ 1722.73
Stamp duty $ 3288
GST $ 6246.27
LCT $ 1084.50
Total $ 74649.80
Also the Rego is Business Rego so it always is a bit more Pricey

Also ETA delivery 19th of may

Thanks

GST should already be in the retail price - that is wrong.

Geez $75 k driveaway for base manual with Magnaride. Loaded Vert will be looking towards $100 k at that rate.

Yeah I can't seem to work out where the GST has been added and on what,
Does anyone know what should have GST?

I know the magnaride is $2500+gst, I just hope they didn't put a GST on a GST:headbonk:

I don't think you are OT
Mainly because I was having the same thoughts - don't see how any business can allow an ongoing problem to carry over to a new model.
Part of he reason I really want a 2018 is the elimination of shortcomings of the 2015/17

It's a pity Fords website doesn't have the Build/price your car up for MY18 yet. That's always a good starting point for pricing and push down from there.
