Those are sweet cars, my first was a used 1980 turbo 4, then a new 87! then in late 91 got a 86 comp. prep. SVO, then the wife got a 17 last year, and my first new one since 87 is on order....

SVO's were sweet and handled great, but I mostly stuck to V8's!

Keep in mind if you go with the PP1 as a daily driver, the stock Michelin Pilot Sport 4s are not intended to be driven at or near freezing temperatures - not just when there is snow and ice. I would think in Denver that could be an issue. However you could always change to an all season tire.

Yeh I figured at some point I would ditch the PP wheels for something else, put all season on the PP wheels and something stickier on the new set. Im not getting rid of my Tundra so in cooler weather I could drive that. It’s my DD now.

But believe it or not Denver isnt that cold all the time, yeh we get some cold days during the winter and snow of course but I bet 50% of my winter days are in the 40’s and 50’s, but cold in the AM.

Silver does look good. My first and only Mustang GT I ever ordered was a silver one. 36 years ago.

Note the traction bars to stop wheel hop. That was a fun car and Ford's first real return to perfomance from the old muscle car days.

Yeh as I walked up to it I was blown away....I dont know how much it was because I have not ordered mine yet...maybe this week. I expect the way I want it, premium, 401, PP1, magride, safe and smart should be about 51K, and either USAA or xPlan pricing. Not sure where that ends up.

Non-PP guys, talk to me about your cars....tell me about how you drive it, have you compared ot the PP? Did you modify it because you where not happy with it....whatever.

I am quite glad I didn't go with the PP. It is a daily driver, and appreciate that it does not tacitly remind of every nuance and crack in the concrete. The brakes are still outstanding, I have the 3.55 gears, it's all good. ;) Handles great. I would drive both in your area for an hour if you can't decide. For daily driving, you will never notice a performance difference, but you WILL notice bad roads more quickly. The gauges would have been cool, but for a couple grand I can do without them. Deciding between a performance package or the premium for me was a NO BRAINER. I like the ball sweat reduction on hot days...

My plan as well. I have a set of VS Forged coming in March. I plan on putting the MP4S 255/40's on front, and I bought a pair of MP4S 295/35's for the rear. I am then going to buy some A/S for the stock PP wheels.

I drove the car the other day to get the clear bra, tint, and ceramic coating on it and the temp was -1 F when I left. It was like driving on banana skins! :eyebulge:

I wouldn't have a mustang if i couldn't have the PP.
However, I live in the mountains, and specifically bought my car for spirited driving up here. My work and home are 5ish miles apart (for now) so I have no cares about fuel mileage or comfort.

Three new non-PP GT's in a row ('12/'13/'16) and never modded any of them.

It's safe to say .01% of Mustang owners ever explore the limits of their car. So the way I see it, unless you plan to AutoX or road race, it's $$ lost.
