- 2018 Mustang GT PP1
I was going to try out Carmax, but I went to local dealership first to place the order. They ended up giving me a great deal so I took their offer. I sold it and just told them to hold the money until my Mustang order came in. If there is no movement on my order in the next few weeks, I'll have to check the inventory in Vegas as well. Vegas is about a 5 hour drive for me.Makes sense. My two out of state purchases didn't involve a trade-in, but my 2016 GT will be getting traded in on my 2019 Bullitt. I may do a road trip to the dealer a few weeks before to get an appraisal. I have a friend that owns a local non-Ford dealership too that will buy the car from me for blue book if the out of state dealer lowballs me so hopefully the trade will go smoothly. If you have a Carmax near you, you could get a written offer from them as a backup if the dealer that has the car you want in stock wants to lowball you.
