Found my GT350R 350 miles down the road. Drove my 2016 Tech Pack there for trade-in. The drive there was awesome. The drive back was torture on my hips. Six hours was way too long for the Recaros and my 6'4"/230# bod. I never plan on sitting that long in the Recaros again and wouldn't trade them for the "leather" seats. My Tech Pack's vinyl bolster areas showed terrible signs of wear after just 4,500 miles, but the Convenience/Tech Pack seats are a must for long-distance driving/touring for larger folks.

You bought a GT350. You didn't make a mistake. You could be sitting on a milk crate and it'd still be worth it.

The only issue really I have with the recaros is getting out i
Of the car, otherwise I don't mind them.

Jay Leno has a '15 R model.... and installed some form of a 'soft seat' - I think he referred to them as Mustang GT seats. In any event, he ditched the Recaros so that he and his wife could enjoy driving the car.

Personal preference. I'm 5'11" 180 and I have the Recaros. I absolutely love them and can't imagine getting a car like this with anything else but that is my preference. If you like the sofa seats, go with those.

I'm 6' and 235 my self with a wide back and i didnt fit in the suede recaros either, the convenience pack seats are just fine although I wish ford would have put the premium pack leather recaros from the gt in the gt350 as I find they look and feel fantastic.
When the GT350's first started hitting the dealers a few years ago, I was 235 pounds and 6'5". I tried one with the Recaro's and I didn't like them. Fast forward 2 years and my weight is down to 218 due to injury and illness. I now fit perfectly in the Recaro's and love them. :D

I like the look of the recaros over the sofas and that's about it. Comfort was more important as we as seat adjustment. I think racing belts with the sofas is a winning combo.

Thats a good idea, have you heard of a set that works well with the sofas?

For those that use the "sofa" seats, buy a set of 4 point harnesses that clip in and you have done a great job in securing your body. I ran them in my 15 GT and now have them in my 350. Works with the seat belt sensor also. Easy install.
