Long tubes and Corsa sport

I have the corsa sport on my GT along with the frpp2. I love the sound as it is however I'm going to be installing long tubes. I want to know how much louder will she be and what will I need to do keep the tone in the same ball park as I have now?
Any experiences out there?

I got catless long tubes intalled last week and it makes the sport catback a lot louder and raspier. Just like without longtubes, you'll hear it when pressing the throttle and it is quite when cruising. Besides the volume, the other main difference is that its louder at lower rpms. I had the corsa extreme before and to me the sport with longtubes is louder.

Good info thanks, so I'm assuming you got a tune with those headers as well?

Headers definitely increase the sound a tone output of the Corsa sport cat back. You will also notice a distinct more crisp sound of every cylinder firing with the long tubes. I started catless and it was a little much for me, raspy/tinny, sounding so I put the high flow cats on and that was about perfect. I have since removed them and replaced the with bullet resonators and they are very similar sounding to the headers with cats but also provide no restriction.

Cruising around will be fine and quiet. I actually get more tire and road noise than exhaust sound while cruising until about 2200+ rpm. WOT it is still pretty loud.

It will be quite a bit louder and a little more even sounding. ARH offers direct connect to Corsa catback LTs (you'll remove the reducers at the front of the double X-pipe and it fits right up, full 3"). I'd recommend catted ones.

Yeah I got a tune. The car definitely feels stronger. I can't say how much is actually due to the headers though.

If you are tuned I would ask for a revision for the cold start timing to tame it down. It will be really loud for approx. 30 seconds with the factory negative spark timing for cat warm up. I believe on the factory start up it is actually firing the spark while the exhaust cam has the valves open to warm the cats and O2's.

I have gotten rid of all the negative spark timing during startup and it is only loud for about a second until it builds oil pressure to start controlling the cams.

I really like the sound of the Corsa sports with LT’s. It’s definitely louder but still sounds epic.
