Anyone trying doing a 0-60 test on their 18 auto GT?

does it come close to the 3.9 they claim?

Ford claimed the 17 to do 4.5 and best I got was a 4.9 with stock Pirellis. Assuming 18 is more or less ismilar? 4.3 or 4.4?

Their 3.9 claim had a lot of asterisks, lol. Had to be PP and had to be in track mode i believe. And maybe magneride can't remember if that was also listed though.

Many factors in 0-60: road surface/temp, air quality, launch technique, fuel quality, elevation...
No doubt the gt a10 is capable of a 3.9 0-60 if everything is right.

Figure on going about a second slower than the 3.9 claim.

Yeah that's that I thought, typically at least 0.5 seconds slower than what they claim.

That being said my best time was 5 flat until I got Michelins and it went down to 4.7-4.8. So maybe under optimum conditions on the street the 18 can do it in 4.2-4.4

Did they say anywhere whether the 3.9 second test allowed a rollout? If so, I doubt that it can be reproduced with the internal app.

If you go off of the calculator at wallace racing with a time slip, it easily does it.

Also, the old ZL1 ran 0-60 in 3.8 per the mags, I don't ever remember those cars breaking into the 11s when the magazines tested them.

I'll believe it.

The 18s that are properly equipped to do it, will do the sub 4 seconds claimed.

That's because the cars that do the sub 4 seconds, are 10SPD/Magneride/PP cars. Those cars will be consistent, being autos.

Like stated. If your willing to buy the loaded Mustang with the PP, auto ,Mag ride, Etc, etc. You could probably hit the 3.9 once or twice. And that's all you need to be a forum hero. Nobody is doing it on 235 all seasons in an auto. No body is doing it in a manual period.

Edmunds did 4.6 with the 10spd auto premium gt non pp. 4.4 with rollout. in comparison they did 4.7 with the manual camaro and 4.3 with rollout in the same test.

Ya but that Edmonds comparison was stupid. Camaro looked better cause of the tires. Mustang had all season in a 235 and the Camaro had 275 eagle F1 tires. Huge difference there. If they had the Michelin tires ud see different results in favor of the Mustang.

Not to "high-jack" the topic of the thread, but I haven't seen any 0-60 or 1/4 mile times/numbers posted for the 2018 Ecoboost, with or without the Performance Package. I know Ford's official information states that an 18 EB equipped with the 10 Speed Transmission, Magna Ride and in "Dragstrip Mode", will do the 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. However, if the 3.9 0-60 time for the GT is, probably, only achieved in near perfect conditions, logic dictates the same will hold true for the EB's 0-60 times. The last generation EB with the 6 Speed Automatic was a consistent 5.6-5.7 second 0-60 time, with the best stock time I read was a 5.2 by Car&Driver in a 15 EB automatic with the Performance Package. I would speculate the 0-60 time for an 18 EB with the 10 Speed Automatic will be, on average, 5.3-5.4 seconds and the (average) 1/4 mile will be 13.5- 13.6 at 100/101 MPH.

Small all season tires vs larger summer tires. And they got the Camaro to 4.7. So I’m standing by the you’ll never do 3.9 in a manual statement..
