I never had a dealer try and charge me MSRP in Dallas. If anything, the greater competition allows you to find better deals. In November 2014 when there weren't many Mustangs on the lots yet, I got my '15 EB PP Premium for a little over 3K off.I had one offer me $1500 below invoice, but played games where I didn't trust him. Next was $1000 below invoice, so they now have my business.
But this was for a loaded EB, so not sure how that affects their flexibility. I can say if you're in a major city, call outside the area. I'm having to go 2.5 hours out for these deals because in a city like Dallas, they'll always find someone willing to pay msrp.
