Yeah... I shake my head at those willing to stay confined to conventional wisdoms. Without thinking outside the box, there would’ve never been a 2014/15 Z/28, and even though it didn’t sell like Chevy hoped; it set a benchmark to get a 2015/6/7/8 GT350R.

Imagine if Ford engineers had adopted your thinking of staying inside a box... we would’ve surely never have been blessed with such a wonderful, world-class engine as the Voodoo.

So, I'm thinking,................if Roush won't have a RS3 car till the 2019 MY, I'm wondering if that means that the GT500 won't be available for sale till the late 2018 year?? (I think Roush said something about getting certification for being CARB compliant.) I think Whipple has the certification already for the 2018 MY GT cars if I am correct?

I sure hope so. Rumor is corvette will show the front engine ZR1 next week at the Dubai Auto show. So maybe Ford shows the GT500 at LA next month.

That ZR1 is going to be one bad car if Chevy does it right.. I'm sure the Corvette guys learned enough from the Z06 to do so because the front engine Vette deserves a proper send off..

750ish hp no dohc. That’ll be on the ME most likely. Looks like magazine release before Sunday though. There’s more images on CF but no real info yet.

To your point I would suggest that we all keep an eye on the upcoming Detroit Auto Show which starts on January 13th and I would be quite surprised if Ford does not unveil the GT500 that week.

I would also suggest based on the strong relationship that Ford has with Craig Jackson and Steve Davis that once the official unveiling has taken place in Detroit that a Pilot Production GT500 will be unveiled during the Barrett-Jackson auction week in Scottsdale.
