My local dealer is still trying to get $20k over for theirs. I started laughing my ass off in the middle of the showroom floor when i read the stickers

Grapevine Ford said they were getting 10k for reg and 25k for R's. I pretty much laughed my way out the door. 10-15k on Raptors also.

My GT is only 5 weeks old..........but if I could have got one close to MSRP,I may have jumped. And by close I don't mean 10k!
I hear ya. Let me clarify..... I buy these things right or I don't buy them. Unfortunately, the dealers that have them don't want to let them go at a reasonable price. My comment was that of frustration because I understand the process. Unfortunately, the folks who have to have it and don't want to shop around the country have to pay the markup or do without.

Agreed, which keeps the price high for those willing to shop. And the dealers know it.

Recently 2 of my colleagues purchased their GT350 at MSRP.

One was about 2 months back and traveled to Texas from California, the other purchased at month(October) end in northern California.

I had my choice of non-R’s at MSRP...on lot or a 2018 I could order. Lowest I have found an R was about 7k over for two without electronics package, and $10k over for a LB with black stripes, but all would require ahipp8ng and weren’t the colors or options I was looking for.

Tried to get some in a Georgia down that low but couldn’t, so picking up my non-R in a week.

The dealership by me has all the specialty fords. Shelby’s are $10-15k. RS was $5-8k. And Raptors were around $10k. They had a lifted raptor for sale for about $99k. Most expensive car on the lot.

I don't get it because there are like 6 other Ford dealers in DFW that would probably do it at MSRP.
