Looks like my car has a bad slave cylinder. Had it towed to the ford dealership. Service manager said he's going to have a tech look at the car to inspect for burn spots in the clutch and the clutch in general.

Will my extended warranty cover it? I've had the car for almost a year now.

0 mods. Car looks like it just came off the showroom. My catback exhaust is coming Monday though but they won't look at my car until next Friday :(

Thanks for the reply. Service manager sounded like he was a d-bag. Hopefully on Friday he doesn't pull the bs of warranty can't cover that.

Your 3 year and 36k bumper to bumper warranty should cover it.

The slave cylinder should fall under driveline warranty. Also, it's not a wear item, so they should have no reason to deny warranty on it.

Hey guys I'm running to a problem.

Just got off the phone with the service manager. They want to charge me $500 to pull the transmission out to look for any burnt spots on the clutch or anything in particular. He said if I have the clutch removed it's going to cost me $1500 + tax. He said the clutch doesn't fall under warranty and it's considered a wear item. But if it's the bearing or anything that's a failure from the car I won't have to pay anything

Any help?

Hate to revive old threads but this seems to be the only one. I have a 2015 5.0 with 41,000 miles and it seems like my slave cylinder is starting to leak. My only worry is that I got the steeda clutch spring, that shouldn’t cause the slave to blow out right? I remember reading that removing the spring and running the car with out one would but the steeda spring was supposed to prevent the issue. Just checking before I go through the ass pain of swapping back to stock.

I had my clutch pedal stick to the floor once. I looked all over the trans for signs of a leak and couldn't find one. Ford couldn't find any evidence of a leak either. They replaced the master cyl first as its a much less invasive procedure and I haven't had any issues yet.

What makes you think you have a bas slave cyl? Are you seeing fluid around the bellhousing?

It's not hard to swap the spring. Takes me 2 min. No tools. Just make sure it's pushed all the way against the firewall. Either I am ra-tard strong or my pedal has too much travel.

Clear fluid around the trans and I felt the pedal stick once or twice
