it sucks they wont offer it with a 10 speed auto....i will never buy another mt-82...
Yup! Especially that shifter needs to go. MGW shifter and BG II synchroshift fluid for the rescue. They may offer 10 speed auto for the 2019 and 2020 before the S650 comes out!

I know this may potentially feed the trolls, but...

I get the typical "CYA" statements...but this shouldn't be on a car of this spec. I won't jump to conclusions, but I seriously hope the PP2 won't require the consumer to buy coolers. That would be an epic fail.

What say you guys?
Well it doesn't say they are required. I guess you just run the risk of losing power if they get too hot.

Recommended and required can be a very thin line...

My point is, why omit crucial track components...from your track-ready car? Ford already went through this with the GT350. It didn't make sense then and it doesn't now.

So depending on how hard you're driving the car and how long, it might go into a limp mode if you don't add the recommended aftermarket cooling.

That is kind of a fail, unless they have the official disclaimer that the car is not track ready. I wonder if Ford is ready to say that failures on the track requiring service would be covered by warranty, like Chevy claims with the Camaro?

Same reason anyone does. Money. You can "imply" it's for the track, but unless they state it then it's just a souped up street car. I mean look at Nissan, their posters for the Altima all show the v8 RWD road car. That doesn't mean my 2.5S, or even the v6 can do well on a track.

I was going to post this as well. Shame on ford when the package this is competing with SS1LE has all of that included and no overheating issues. I am worried this will be just like the 2016 GT350 tech packs. It may keep up with the SS1LE for a 10 minutes but then you get to limp out the rest of a 20 minute session. So much potential too... I am curious to get the weights on those rims. If 25lbs a tire that's 7lbs a corner lighter than the gt350 with stickier tires. Give it the proper cooling! On the other hand that's one way of forcing people into a 350.

Does Ford's marketing on the PP2 mention "Track Ready"? Did it on the GT350?

Do the GT350Rs come with trans and diff coolers?

Ugh, let's hope not.

The GT350R always had the coolers. As of 2017 all GT350's have the coolers. See above comment about 2016 GT350 non track pack fiasco.

The 350R's always have...in 2016 you needed the TP to get the coolers and from 2017 and up, they are standard on all GT350's.

I have no idea what marketing has or hasn't said. All I know is the car comes packed with track equipment: suspension, tires (finally) and actual aero. Everything needed, except cooling apparently.

I got your joke BUT in the early days of the 2015 cars Ford Performance did have a drag pack option, they just never sold it a kit:

M-4209-88409A 4.09 ring and pinion
M-4130-M Axle Upgrade
M-4000-M Differential and subframe bushing kit
M-7210-M8 Short throw shifter
Buying parts later is not a factory "option".

Might was well add a blower, new trans, and every other aftermarket parts you might want to make your car track ready. Which throws much of your warentey out the window, forces you to buy parts twice, and install them twice, which drives up cost.

Ford: We've learned our lesson with the GT350..they all will have the coolers. .

Also Ford: Hey let's do that "no coolers" bit with the PP2 again.
