I know but those are peak numbers at around 6500 rpm. There are graphs some where on the sight that shows they are almost equal at 1500 rpm or on the low end

Likely the same if not more than the amount of time one spends at 7000.

In normal driving conditions, you have to rev 1500rpms. To hit 7000rpms, you also have to rev to 1500rpms.

Because I accelerate normally from a stop 50 times a day, I hit 7000 RPM once a month.

Im talking about for racing im not concerned with 1500 rpms. I want the PP2 becuase of the fat curve right in the middle of the graph. The curve on the 2 is actually better than the 3 till about 6900 rpm.

I understand but thats not what your post had said so I responded accordingly. You definitely want that meaty midrange for any sort of road race or auto-x.

I'll never understand why more tq at 1500 rpm matters.

I spend a lot of time at 1,500 rpm here in PA. That's about 60 mph in 6th gear in my non-PP 5.0 GT 6-speed manual, and we still have 55 mph limits on many roads.
Although our cars don't lug at low rpm like the PPs, a little more low-end grunt for steady-state cruising is always good.

Why does a PP car lug at low rpms? They are gears shorter.

Beats me, but more than one PP owner here has complained about it.
My car doesn't like accelerating from 1,200 rpm in track mode, so maybe it has something to do with higher expectations

Switching to RTR Grille soon, leaving side vents open completely for better airflow. I’m already running K&N Drycharger® Anyone running this setup and have any issues with rain getting in? Does the filter stay dry? Thoughts and comments welcome.

Just had th PP2 installed.. what a difference, smooth and pulls hard.. why the tune wasn’t on the car from the factory I don’t know.

May be a stupid question... so I will apologize in advance.

Does the Pro Cal tool need to stay in the OBD Port.. being Illuminates BLUE all the time whilst driving.? Or has my tech forgot to remove it.?

Lol. Yes remove it. I think the tune is for 91oct+ while the standard mustang can run on 87?

Not Dyno’d, not really interested in numbers, the driveability and feeling are much more important than ‘Cock waving’ in the Gym showers..

A 120 mile jaunt this evening confirmed that, no track time planned 7ntil next year though :(

Torque down low puts a smile on your face and hp up top keeps it there!
