Here is how the ZL1 splitter protectors are holding up after 6 months of daily driving they have taken a beating but still look good also the rivets still took a few scrapes as well but none of ZL1 pieces have came loose! They are lower so you hear them scraping but the splitter still looks about the same.
To avoid a ā€˜few scrapes’ to the rivets..... I’ve placed the washers close to the rivets.... but slightly ahead.

I’ve never thought that anyone here would ever ā€˜decode’ this.... ;)
I doubt my assumption is correct, but when I saw the taxiway sign, I was like "no way..." :D

Now, back on track..... I plan to install my ZL1 addon washers today and get the splitter onto HR361. wish me luck, photos when I'm done

Enjoy your R&R.... Although, it’s tough to stop thinking about things that are needed to be done.... I’m referring to your ā€œR’sā€.... even when you’re trying to rest. :D

And if you pick up a few extra flights...... somehow, you still find yourself thinking about all the essential projects that are pending.

Most definitely..... keep us updated with the pics.

I didn't get around to mounting the ZL1 add-on washers today. I ran out of daylight. However, those with R's be advised that ZL1 doesn't want you to use the 3/4" screws that were provided. Instead, call them and they will provide shorter screwsto use with the R splitter. Call the folks at ZL1 and they will hook you up.

No extra flights = no extra projects = no Daytona or other track days.

So let's all gather in a kumbaya and pray that the scheduling Gods buy me off my next trip that is scheduled with a LCA. The swap board is slim pickings however......

I found some hard plastic, round furniture sliders with adhesive tape of them at Lowes. They are about 1 inch in diameter but unfortunately only in a light beige. I painted them black and stuck eight of them under the spliter to take the inevitable bottoming. I don't think they will be easily knocked off. I removed a couple to reposition them and finally had to get a plastic trim tool to pry them off.

While under there noticed a few paint scrap edges just barely peeking out past the front edge of the splitter. Apparently the dealer or shipper skinned the lower fascia up a bit before installing the splitter. Basically with a car this low all that stuff down there is somewhat sacrificial if you drive it at all.
