how bad are cold starts on it? is it a well now the neighborhood and my sleeping wife inside the house is awake? its the only part of it im concerned about.

It's loud. But if you can keep it in the garage overnight so the engine gets to temp quickly it's not too bad.

It's pretty loud. Cold starts are going to be an issue with any catback you put on it, as the extra RPM is part of the OEM warmup. I've found that the quietest I can get this is if after I start it, I get it rolling slowing in gear out of the driveway and idle through the first couple of gears. After 2 blocks, it quiets down.

ive been watching videos, some are really loud others dont seem too bad. from what i can tell this exhaust is best of both worlds. sounds aggressive but zero drone on the highway and isnt loud until you get on it.

Exactly correct. This is the exhaust that should have come stock on the 5.0.

If you are tuned have them adjust the max cold start timing in neutral and drive. From the factory it is set to negative timing for cat and O2 sensor warm up for about 30 seconds. I set mine with HP tuners to about 20 degrees max timing where the negative timing numbers were and the cold starts are a non-issue now.
