Just received an email from Ohlins about the release of their Road and track coilover due September 2017! He said they should be about $2,600 ! I'm going this route!

Those spring rates seem really off ~500 lb/in in the front and ~700 in rear?

Agreed...3X higher in the front and a little softer in the rear than stock GT PP rates. Push monster, no thanks. You'd have to run a aftermarket rear bar only and go all the way firm to balance it out, probably.

Those spring rates do seem odd. A 500 front spring rate is extreme. And this 500 rate will effectively be the wheel rate considering it's a coilover. I run a 350 rate front spring and could not imagine a 500 rate front spring. The damper must be out of this world for the spring to be considered appropriate for ROAD and track. The rear rate I'm assuming is either a typo or they are trying to articulate the wheel rate, not the spring rate. ~700 doesn't make any sense. These cars love rear spring rate.

We'll see how this pans out. I'm not off to buy them just because they're Ohlins. I do appreciate that they didn't do a true coilover design in the rear which I continue to worry about given the mounting point on the LCA.

I have to imagine these are typos front and rear.

Typos or not, those are the recommended spring rates. Even says that in the brochure. You can order whatever springs you want.

Also uploaded the screenshot of it lol for those that don't want to do any clicking lol

Edit: I am inquiring about the customizable spring rates to be sure that is an option. I'll post when I get a response.

Also, just confirmed that the price is including springs. I asked to be sure due to the verbiage in the news page. Also, camber plates are not included, they utilize Oem. However the rep said "They are certainly compatible with aftermarket options, though."

That's great, yet the "recommended rates" are glaringly vast divergence away from the norm thus far. Doesn't mean it's bad, per say, but I'd like THEM to pop in and tell us why they are suggesting this given that.

I did find the Swift Spec R springs to be great, which relative to their class competition (streetable springs that can do track work) have a lighter rear rate and a stiffer front rate. But the rear rate they're proposing with these Ohlins is significantly less than those even. At least it sparks a debate.

In general, I guess some people will buy them just because they say Ohlins, right? I had Ohlins on my Harley (in the back; Progressive-brand springs and fancy valve setup thing up front) - they were wonderful and I went through Deals Gap/TOTD and all those mountain roads with 14" ape hangers and twice the weight right on the ass end of an Aprilia sport bike with very little drama (except needing twice the braking power than I had... no biggy).

I really hope they're great for those that get them. I'd do a 350 front rate and a 1200 to 1400 rear rate. But I know nothing of their shock valving.
